Sam Thompson revealed he is in hospital having tests on his stomach after being struck down with a mystery illness.
The Love Island podcast host, 30, shared a health update with his fans as he posted a snap of himself lying in a hospital bed with a large strap around his waist.
The former Made in Chelsea star revealed he has undergone a colonoscopy in hopes it will get to the bottom of his illness.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Sam penned alongside the image: “Just swallowed a pill that has a camera on it!! Was super cool and was lighting up hahah.

“This contraption round my waist tracks it as it goes through the stomach! Hopefully I’ll figure our [sic] what’s going on with my tummy.”
Not long after, Sam shared a video of himself and gave his 1.6 million followers an insight into the process.
He explained: “So I’ve got to lie on my side so, apparently the stomach empties and the chemical can go all the way through me. And then, what happens,” he asked before turning the camera to face his girlfriend Zara McDermott, 26.

“I poo it out,” the reality star exclaimed as Zara responded: “You poo it out. You’ve got to make sure that machinery is on you for the next 10 hours.”
Turning the camera back onto himself, Sam continued: “Zara’s being one of those annoying people that are like: ‘Make sure, blah blah blah’. How about, how about you just – I can’t even turn the camera.
“Are you going to look after me? I want service today,” he demanded as the Love Island star could be heard saying: “No, no, no.”
The Celebs Go Dating star followed this up with another video where he revealed he is still planning to record his podcast, Staying Relevant, alongside close pal Pete Wicks.

The Celebrity Big Brother star told his followers: “I’m also going to a podcast recording today with Peter.
“I’m going to have to wear this contraption around me and I know he’s going to take the p**s out of me. And I’m gonna be like: ‘Hey, hey, hey, hey. Feel sorry for me’ I’m having an endoscopy to figure out what’s going on with my stomach.”
Alongside the clip, Sam wrote: “Don’t mug me off when you see me please @p_wicks01 @stayingrelevantpodcast”.
He added: “The prep for this last night was not nice!!,” accompanied by a laughing face emoji.
