The ex girlfriend of Matthew Perry does not believe he just drowned in Jacuzzi last month.
The Friends star’s ex girlfriend fears he suffered a drugs relapse before he died — and has laid bare his demons. Kayti Edwards claimed the actor’s use of his alter ego “Mattman” in a social media post ahead of the tragedy was a clear sign to her that he could have been high.
And she revealed how the Hollywood A Lister took care not to leave drugs lying around. Edwards told The Sun of her beliefs that the tell-tale signs of a prescription-pill relapse were there in the days leading up to his death on October 28.

Edwards pointed out the major red flag to her was that his final social media post contained the word ‘Mattman’. This moniker allegedly was a warning which Matt allegedly would use when he wasn’t sober.
Kayti, 47, had dated the Friends star back in 2006, but worked as his assistant in 2011 and the pair remained close mates. Matthew’s full autopsy is yet to be revealed, but early toxicology reports found there were no meth or fentanyl in his system, but further testing is being carried out.
Matthew was found unresponsive in the Jacuzzi at his LA home last month in what was believed to have been a drowning. But Kayti said despite there being no illegal painkillers found, she believed there were signs of a prescription-pill relapse ahead of his death at 54.
She said: “There are a lot of things that aren’t adding up for me. I know Matthew and I know that he wouldn’t have just drowned. I think he might have taken pills in the week leading up to this.”
Kayti also said Matthew wasn’t one to leave drugs lying around. But a friend who met with Matthew the day before he died said that he seemed “100 per cent sober” and “extremely positive”.
His final post, five days before his death, showed him in the Jacuzzi and was signed “Mattman”, his alter ego based on his obsession with comic book character Batman.
The actor shot to fame playing Chandler Bing in smash-hit US TV comedy series Friends.
It could take months for further tests to establish exactly how he died at his $6million pad in the Pacific Palisades area.
Matthew’s Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer joined family and other mourners at his funeral on November 3.
