Netflix fans urge viewers to ‘keep away’ from ‘appalling and twisted’ horror movie

Netflix fans have been left so disgusted by a new horror movie that they’re urging other views to “keep away”.

Japanese horror Re/Member, released in 2022, follows a high school student and her friends who end up trapped in a time loop by a ghost.

As though that doesn’t tick all the bizarre sci-fi boxes of your dreams, the only way for the students to escape is to find the decaying corpse of the ghost’s last victim.

The movie is actually an adaptation of a manga called Body Search in English, and stars Kanna Hashimoto as main character Asuka Morisaki.

But it wasn’t met with favourable reviews – and viewers urged other potential victims to “stay away” from the flick.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts, one viewer wrote: “I haven’t shouted at my TV in a long time… it’s so bad… the characters and dialogue were appalling.”

As another agreed: “So annoying. She just sticks around waiting for the creature to attack her. I was screaming all the way through this movie. It is simply beyond annoying and frustrating!”

A third added: “One of the worst films I have ever seen. Do yourself a favour, keep away from this film!”

However, some social media users disagreed, with one branding the flick “so good” as somebody else followed up: “Just watched Re/Member on Netflix and 10/10 would recommend!”

Another agreed the film has “striking visuals”.

It comes after Netflix users were left so terrified by one horror film on the platform that they were “still haunted” weeks after the credits rolled.

Hellhole, released in 2020, is set in 1987 Poland, and follows a police officer investigating disappearances at a monastery.

Turns out the shady monks are running a clinic for people who believe they are possessed, and the film is being called a “slow burner” that is “too gross” to finish.

One fan of the film was very prepared to be scared, writing on social media: “Trying a Polish #horror today. #Hellhole on @netflix… naturally, all curtains are open AF.”

Someone else instructed: “Watch Hellhole on Netflix. Slow burner but what an ending! Partner couldn’t last through it, it was too gross.”
