A newsreader has suffered yet another embarrassing wardrobe blunder live on-air – after a “hypnotising” error left her with “cone boobs”.
CTV News anchor Ainsley McPhail took to Instagram this week to celebrate a huge milestone in her career, with the Winnipeg native sitting behind the huge news desk with her hands folded in front of her.
Cameras were visible in the shot, as Ainsley donned a tight blue blazer and a high-necked black dress underneath, adding a string of pearls to her formal ensemble.

But despite the star looking perfectly lovely in the snap, she realised her mistake in her social media caption, confessing she’d “accidentally dressed up as your favourite elementary school teacher to anchor the noon news today”.

Ainsley went on to add: “Oh yeah, I anchored the noon news today for the first time!”
Fans soon rushed to the comments section, with her mum Carmela writing: “Yay! Way to go! That’s my girl. So proud of you!”
Someone else penned: “She’s an icon, she’s a legend.”
While a third fan posted: “Great job!”
It comes after Ainsley was left suffering a “hypnotising” error on-screen after selecting the wrong material to wear while filming.
Sharing a hilarious snap showing her sitting in a plush armchair wearing the short sleeved top and a pair of black leggings, Ainsley could be seen wearing her dark tresses loose around her shoulders and a pair of tortoiseshell glasses.
The material, however, caused a strange striping effect on the camera, projecting concentric circles over her chest and giving the effect of Katy Perry’s iconic cone boobs.

Embracing the cheeky look, Ainsley penned on Twitter: “Today marks 2 years at CTV. I’ve learned a lot.
“Never wear this shirt in the studio is lesson 1,” she giggled.
Fans, however, found it hilarious, as one admitted: “Okay, I’m hypnotised!”
“I’m sure it got a lot of attention, it really draws the eyes!” somebody else quipped.
