Original American Gladiators Zap star unrecognisable in red-hot spin class video

One of the stars of the original American Gladiators line-up now looks totally unrecognisable decades later.

Raye Hollitt appeared as Zap in the iconic game show from 1989 until 1996, only briefly quitting to go on maternity leave, before going on to star in shows like Baywatch and Card Sharks.

The star, now 59, started out competing in bodybuilding championships and modelling for magazines like Musclemag International and Women’s Physique World.

In one clip shared to Instagram, Raye could be seen pedalling fast on a static bicycle in a pair of clinging blue sweatpants and a white slogan tank top.

She added a simple pair of white trainers and let her bra straps peek out from under the top as she alternated sitting and standing for the powerful video.

With her arms bare, Raye let her fans glimpse the tattoo covering her left forearm and the beaded bracelets around her wrist, securing her long silver hair into a ponytail at the nape of her neck.

Fans soon rushed to compliment her on the post, with one writing: “Get it!” as someone else cheekily encouraged: “You can go faster than that Zap!”

“All spin. All the time. Glad to see you spinning Zap!” while another posted: “Gorgeous, miss you sweetness!”
