The Price Is Right host Bob Barker has died at the age of 99, his publicist has announced.
The US star is best known for hosting the iconic game show, which he first appeared on back in 1972.
Bob’s publicist Roger Neal announced the sad news on Saturday (August 26) in a statement which read: “It is with profound sadness that we announce that the world’s greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker has left us.”

It’s believed that Bob died of natural causes.
His representatives told TMZ that he had died “peacefully” at his LA home.
Fans paid tribute, with one writing: “RIP Bob Barker as a fellow animal rights advocate thank you for everything you did on behalf of animals.”
Another posted: “A life well lived! RIP Bob Barker.”
Bob had a decades-long tenure on The Price Is Right, staying on as the host until 2007.
The show is now the longest-running daytime game show in US history.
And while it is currently hosted by Drew Carey, Bob did return for a handful of special appearances in the years after he retired.
He returned in 2009 to promote his autobiography, again in 2013 for his 90th birthday, and finally in 2015.
Bob’s final stint in 2015 saw him take part in an April Fool’s prank, where he swapped places with Carey in the show’s opening.
The legendary host won a number of awards during his lifetime, including 19 Daytime Emmys.
He made an appearance as himself in the 1996 Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore, beating up the title character during in argument in the golf tournament.
Bob also served as a guest host for WWE Raw in 2009, for a special episode called The Price Is Raw.
