Robbie Williams shares never-seen-before intimate clips of Spice Girl after steamy fling

Robbie Williams has opened up on his relationship with former Spice Girl Geri Horner, as he shared a never-before-seen pic of the pair.

49-year-old Robbie described the fling between the pair as “confusing” in his self-titled Netflix docuseries. The Angels singer admitted that the two would regularly take time for themselves, jetting off to south of France for some much-needed alone time.

Speaking with long-time song-writing partner Guy Chambers and his wife Emma, Robbie recalled how he and Geri would leave the press behind for some relaxation. As he described his time with her, footage of a trip they went on together in 2000 was shown, including the pair frolicking in the water together, playfighting and living it up on expensive yachts.

Williams opened up on the relationship, saying: “It was a very confusing relationship because she’s a girl, I’m a boy, and we are very good friends trying to sort out the wreckage of the past.” He admitted, however, that despite the intensity of the relationship, the fling was doomed from the beginning.

“Our relationship starts when I’m in AA – you’re told not to get into a relationship in the first year and I get it – I can’t even look after a cactus let alone somebody else,” he explained. “I found her company very, very easy – there is a silliness.”

Robbie added that the pair enjoyed some fun moments together, which were helped by being in “a magical place”. But even though the pair were living a lavish lifestyle, the Millennium singer said he was “craving normality” as he struggled to get a grip on his fame.

He added that he had been believing rumours that Geri, who was Ginger Spice in the hit girl group, had been deliberately calling the paparazzi in to spy on their getaway. Geri denied the allegations, but Robbie confessed he had developed a sense of paranoia.

“Now I don’t think [the rumours were] true for one second, but at the time I did believe it,” he confessed. “It just goes to show what being in the spotlight can do to your psyche, when you can’t trust anybody.”

Even though the relationship did not last long, Geri has always spoken kindly of her former beau. She also paid tribute to him after he helped her when her weight plummeted to just seven stone after she left the iconic band in 1998.

Speaking to Piers Morgan in 2010, she said that Robbie had known about her battle with bulimia and pushed her to get help. “He told me to go to rehab and that possibly saved my life,” she admitted.

Robbie Williams’ four-part documentary series is available to stream on Netflix.
