S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt 'can't stop crying' after ex Paul Cattermole's death

S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt has admitted that she “can’t stop crying” after her ex-boyfriend and bandmate Paul Cattermole sadly died earlier this month.

In an emotional interview with The Sun, Hannah spoke of how the singer’s death is “so raw”, with her revealing that she has moments where she doesn’t “quite believe that it’s real”.

Paul, 46, was found dead at his home in Dorset on April 6, and Hannah, his ex-girlfriend, S Club 7 bandmate and close friend is finding it hard to cope with his passing.

Opening up more than a week after his death was announced, Hanna said: “I’m trying my best to hold it together but once I start, I can’t stop crying.

“And then I have to keep myself together for our two kids. I can’t even imagine any mother losing their child.”

She went on to say that her heart is broken his family, adding that he was “happier than he had been in years”.

Hannah and Paul dated for five years before splitting in 2006, rekindling their romance for the last time in 2015, meaning they had dated for around six or seven years in total.

Earlier this month, on April 6, it was announced that Paul had tragically been found dead at his home aged 46.

The news broke when a statement was released by his family who shared the news of the “unexpected passing”.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole,” the statement read.

“Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.

“While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time.”

Paul’s passing comes just weeks after the nineties and noughties pop band reunited and announced that they were gearing up for a tour.

The band, who are known for their hits like Reach and Don’t Stop Movin’, announced in January that they would headline London’s O2 Arena for a string of shows to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
