S Club 7's Tina Barrett wows fans as they learn real age as band announces comeback

S Club 7 fans have been shocked to find out the real age of Tina Barrett as she discussed the band’s comeback tour alongside her bandmates.

Appearing on BBC’s The One Show Tina appeared alongside her fellow bandmates, with fans at home unable to get over the star’s age of 46.

Tina has been put back in the spotlight as the band has announced it will reform for their 25th anniversary and will tour the UK in a comeback arena tour.

The band formed in 1998 after being put together by music mogul Simon Fuller.

Now bandmates Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Tina Barrett are reforming 20 years after they split in 2003.

The band told hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas that they said “yes” straight away to a reunion and set up a WhatsApp group immediately.

Yet as the full band appeared on The One Show to discuss attending Saturday’s The BRIT Awards, Tina’s age was revealed and fans could not get over it.

The singer and dancer revealed her age as she discussed partying until the early hours when she said: “I stayed a lot later than I should have. I got home at 4am.”

One fan tweeted: “The S Club girls are looking incredible!”

Another shared: “Tina Barrett from S Club 7 is 46?! She looks like she’s still in her 20s!”

“Sorry what, how does Tina from S Club still look like a teenager and she’s 46??? Wow,” said a third.

The group originally split in 2003 after topping the charts with their hits including ‘Don’t Stop Moving’ and ‘Reach’.

They reformed briefly in 2014 for BBC’s Children In Need when they performed a medley of their best-known songs.

The group, who sold more than 10million albums worldwide, had four multi-platinum selling albums, won two BRIT Awards, and nine No1 international hit singles since they began in 1998.
