TV chef Simon Rimmer has announced the heartbreaking news that his “hero” dad Peter has died.
The Sunday Brunch host took to Twitter on Friday (June 30) to share his huge family loss alongside a sweet Father’s Day snap of him and his late father.
The photo saw Simon and Peter smiling together on a day out, with the celebrity chef afffectionately putting an arm around his dad.
Simon, 60, wrote: “it’s with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my hero, my dad Peter.”
The former Strictly star was inundated with supportive messages from his famous friends and fans who offered their condolences.
One fan wrote: “So sorry to hear about your dad. Lots of love to your family at this sad time XX”
