The Chase fans are convinced the beloved teatime show is about to launch a musical spin-off special ahead of a major announcement.
On Thursday (March 20), ITV bosses released a 10-second video on Instagram which saw some of the cast show off their singing skills on the programme.
In the cheeky clip Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan could be seen showing off her vocal skills while challenging one wide-eyed contestant, whereas Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis was spotted singing to himself in the mirror.

Even host Bradley Walsh sang a couple of bars for viewers in the clip, which was captioned: “Big Things Are Coming – Stay Tuned [shifty eyes emoji] #thechase.”
Loyal fans of the show will remember Jenny previously wowed the judges when she appeared on the X Factor: Celebrity back in 2019.
The fiery redhead made it all the way to the grand final with her impressive rendition of Lady Gaga’s number one hit single Edge of Glory.
She was sadly pipped to the post by TOWIE legend Megan McKenna who won the series and has since gone on to launch her own music career.
Now, viewers are convinced that the fan-favourite quiz show is preparing to make its debut on the West End in the form of a musical.
The mind-boggling video soon started doing the rounds on Twitter as loyal fans shared their excitement online.
One user writing: “The musical!!!!!! Yassssssss [cry-laughing emoji].”
Another agreed: “The Chase: THE MUSICAL?!!!!! [four cry-laughing emojis]” as a third echoed: “Been waiting for something like this!!”
Whereas others weren’t convinced by the idea, as some predicted the post was simply a joke ahead of April Fools Day tomorrow (April 1).
One user begged: “Please no, not ‘The Chase: The Musical’. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more naff!”
Another third pointed out: “It’s an April Fools joke about The Chase: The Musical!!” as a echoed: “Oh please NOOO….. spare us !!”

Whereas some fans were convinced that the announcement would allude to a change in format on the hour-long programme.
One user predicted: “Judging by what I saw, I think it’s safe to say that there will be a change in format.”
Another agreed: “I think there will be a change in the format, super offer nearer to the Chaser as the The Beast as it’s been done twice in the US editions making for a more tense final chase. It’d be good to see.”
A third predicted: “The contestants will have the choice to choose which Chaser they want to face and also suggest a higher offer they would definitely accept.”
