One new US horror movie has TikTok users so creeped out they can’t bear to watch the whole thing.
American flick Soft and Quiet was released at the end of last year, but TikTok users are only just discovering it after popular movie influencer LetsWatchThat featured it on their page.
Put simply, the film follows an elementary school teacher who hosts a party at her house for a group of like-minded women.

Filmed in real time with zero cuts, the film’s trailer is spooky enough – featuring a group of white women attempting to convince others to come round to their world view with a “soft and quiet” approach.
Fuming with minorities, Black Lives Matter protestors, Jews and feminists, the women are all in agreement that so-called ‘social justice warriors’ need to be stopped.
It’s a film full of disturbing racist symbolism, filmed in the aftermath of the Central Park birdwatching incident in 2020 which made director Beth de Araújo “so angry” when Black birder Christian Cooper had 911 called by a white woman with her dog.
Christian had been innocently birdwatching in the park at the time, when he asked that Amy Cooper put her dog on a lead. Amy later accused him of “threatening” her and the dog, calling the emergency services as Christian recorded her on his phone.
From brutal racist language used in a convenience store scene to swastikas carved into innocent-looking cakes, one reviewer said the movie was “infinitely more scary” than any supernatural thriller, full of “things you need to be genuinely scared of”.
One scene, however, takes things further, as the women kidnap two Asian-American women and hold them hostage.
Spoiler alert – after brutally beating the women, they’re force-fed food which eventually kills one from an allergic reaction. Wanting to stay clear of the law, the women then decide to frame the incident as a rape.

In one horrific scene, one of the women is violated with a carrot before being suffocated and left for dead.
Soft and Quiet was branded “the most terrifying film of the year” by IndieWire, while some TikTok users said they’d “never been angrier” at a horror movie.
TikTok user LetsWatchThis added: “The really disturbing part about this film is that this happens in our society, and this group of women represents a very scary reality.
“The way these characters unfold is extremely horrific. It is frustrating to a level that I can’t even explain.”
