Telly bosses are planning to make a celebrity version of The Traitors this summer – but only if Claudia Winkleman fronts the show.
Executives are said to want to shoot an all-star version of the BBC hit. Stephen Lambert, CEO of the firm behind the show, said: “The plan is to shoot them pretty much back to back, so at the moment it is just a question of having to be very nice to Claudia Winkleman, so she agrees to spend twice as much time up in Scotland.
“We are very much going to make a series which is just like The Traitors… apart from the fact the contestants will be celebrities. We are in the process of finalising everything with the BBC.”

It’s been rumoured a celebrity version of The Traitors was slated to go into production from Studio Lambert next year. But insiders say the plan has been moved forward to as soon as next month as the show has been so popular.
Useless former PM Liz “Lettuce” Truss was wanted for the show, with fans suggesting Friends actress Courteney Cox too. Talking about the show to the BBC host Claudia said: “It’s not a matter of goodies and baddies.
“Sometimes I really want the traitors to do it, sometimes I really want the faithful to catch one of them, and they both work in equal measure, because I respect gameplay above everything.” Before the second series commenced, she revealed she was also not sure whether series two should be a thing.
Claudia added: “The success of the first series winded us, it floored us. I said to [production company] Studio Lambert and the BBC, ‘let’s just leave it’. Like, this magical thing happened, enough.”
“The head of the BBC just leaned forward to take my temperature.”
