CBB’s Marisha hits back at co-stars and claims ‘everyone was playing a game’

Marisha Wallace admitted she was playing a game on Celebrity Big Brother.

The American singer, 38, was axed from the show alongside Zeze Millz during Tuesday’s (March 19) double eviction. During her time in the house, Marisha was accused of playing a game by Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu after the face to face nominations.

This led to a major fallout between the pair on the day Marisha discovered she had been nominated for an Olivier Award. Colson Smith and David Potts echoed these thoughts during Tuesday’s show and Marisha was forced to “stand trial” in the day’s task.

Following her exit, Marisha spoke to Daily Star and other press about her time on the show and the accusations she faced about game playing. The star said: “I did not understand that.

“How can I be a game player in a game? We were in a game. How can you be called out for being a game player in a game?”

Marisha continued: “Everyone was playing the game in their own way. I just said what I was doing but everyone was playing the game.”

“That’s the whole point – Big Brother is a game. It’s a game show. Everyone wants to win, nobody wants to be kicked out of the house.”

The Olivier-nominated star added: “We were literally doing tasks, all the things we could to not get nominated, to not lose certain privileges in the house. Everyone was doing it.”

Although she was accused of game playing by a number of her co-stars, Marisha admitted that several of the housemates agreed with her because that’s what they signed up to do.

“When I did that talk in the court, everyone in the house agreed with me,” she explained. “They were like, ‘We’re all playing a game because that’s what we signed up for.’ We signed up to go on a game show.”

Marisha went on: “I always thought that was so weird because I don’t know why it’s a bad thing to be playing a game on a game show.” The actress opened up about her argument with Ekin-Su, admitting the intense environment of the Big Brother house played a key role in the Love Island’s star’s reaction.

“We’re in an intense environment, away from our support systems and families, and you react a certain way,” Marisha explained. “But then after a couple of hours we made up and it was fine.”
