EastEnders fans are convinced they know who really stole the money from Lola Pearce’s fundraiser.
Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford) is under suspicion for nicking the funds from a event his family organised in the Queen Vic for the late Lola Pearce’s charity.
Lola’s legacy has been charity money towards brain tumour research after she sadly died in heartbreaking scenes several months ago. However, money from the collection went missing during Thursday’s (June 20) episode of the BBC One soap.

While the Mitchells are convinced Stevie is responsible, viewers at home are convinced his grandson Will Mitchell (Alan Ford) is the real culprit. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “Will took that money, that’s why he decided to turn up.” Another added: “Will definitely stole the money.” A third person said: “I think Will took the fundraiser money.”
Will is currently being blackmailed and is in desperate need of quick cash. Stevie caught the youngster rummaging through his mum Honey Mitchell’s (Emma Barton) purse in recent scenes.
Will later confessed to his grandfather that he’d formed a bond with a girl online only to find out she didn’t exist – he’d been catfished. To make matters worse, ‘she’d’ sent him revealing photos of her in underwear, and in return he’d sent her nude photos back.
Stevie was horrified that one his own had been caught out, and even more so when he learnt the person behind the cruel social media attack had asked for £300 or risk having the pictures shared. Has Will gone to extreme lengths to stop his nudes being leaked online?
Next week, Billy (Perry Fenwick) and the rest of the Mitchells are sure they know it’s Stevie who nicked the money – whilst Stevie has suspicions of his own.
Thinking Will might be responsible, Stevie quizzes him about it in the café but doesn’t get the answer he wants. Later in the pub, Will furiously defends Stevie to Phil Mitchell (Steve Mitchell), but the family matriarch is adamant Stevie is to blame.
Seeing his grandson leave the pub, he follows him and tries to get him to admit to what he’s done. Stevie counsels Will about confessing, and soon loses his temper when Will refuses to say anything. An angry Will knocks Stevie to the floor and rushes off – leaving Stevie motionless. Will he survive?
