EastEnders’ Stacey Slater could be set to shack up with a former flame, actress Lacey Turner has hinted.
The actress has played the iconic Slater sister since 2004. Making her debut as Stacey when she was just 16, Lacey has gone on to become one of the soap’s most-loved stars.
Over the years, Lacey’s had some big storylines too playing Stacey. From her bipolar battle to murder, Stacey’s time in Walford has not been short of drama.

What’s more, it’s fair to say Stacey has had her fair share of romances too throughout her stint. She famously married the beloved Bradley Branning (Charlie Clements) back in 2007 and who could forget her iconic affair storyline with his dad Max Branning (Jake Wood).
Max and Stacey caused absolute chaos when they embarked on a sordid love affair that ultimately culminated in the death of his son and her husband Bradley.
Stacy was married to Martin Fowler (James Bye) from 2016 to 2010 too. The soap legend also had another saucy affair with Kush Kazemi ( Davood Ghadami), and in 2024, Stacey ended up bonking another Branning member, Jack (Scott Maslen).
But now, actress Lacey has hinted that Stacey could be rekindling things with a former flame – and fans most likely won’t be too happy about it.
Speaking on Isolation Interviews, Stacey gushed over the Max and Stacey storyline. She said: “At the time I don’t think we knew it was going to be that massive, but people really invested in it and you know, people were you really following it.”
Lacey went on: “We had this bond between Max and Stacey. They will always have this bond simmering underneath.”
And appearing to tease a future Max and Stacey romance again, Lacey added: “And you never know when it’s going to rear its head. It was so clever.”
Lacey was then quizzed on who she reckons Stacey’s soulmate is on the BBC One soap. She replied: “That’s a hard one. She will always have this connection with Max. But I don’t think he is the love of her life. I think he’s her weakness.
“She loved Bradley but she loved Bradley like a friend. And then her and Martin have this love that is similar to her and Bradley’s love, they’re like best mates,” she added.
