EastEnders spoilers: Phil reveals big secret, Stevie’s health woes and shock blackmail

Stevie’s health fears, an emotional exit and Phil Mitchell lets slip a big secret – it’s all kicking off in EastEnders next week.

It’s Father’s Day in Albert Square and Stevie, Jack, Billy and Howie head to the group fishing trip with their sons. Wanting the boys to enjoy the great outdoors, Stevie confiscates Denzel, Will and Ricky’s phones to encourage them to reconnect with their dads.

Billy becomes concerned for his dad’s wellbeing when Stevie calls him by the wrong name. Worrying about Stevie’s apparent memory lapse, Billy is soon distracted by Will when he is forced to confiscate his phone once back in Walford.

Stevie steps in to help diffuse the situation before he finds his grandson about to steal money from Honey’s purse. Will feigns innocence, but Stevie eyes a text on Will’s phone which tells a different story and forces him to reveal all – Will is being blackmailed.

Stevie heads to reveal all to Billy but he bottles it at the last minute and asks Mo for help. Mo and Stevie sell stolen goods on the market to raise money for Will.

The pair get off to a flying start, but it’s not long before Phil meddles and Honey and Billy put a stop to their unlicensed stall. Lola’s fundraiser talent show is in full swing at The Vic, but Stevie isn’t in the mood to celebrate as he feels guilty for letting Will down.

Despite their argument, Mo buoys up Stevie and the pair put on a magic act which is a roaring success. Later, the residents are horrified to learn that the fundraiser money has been stolen.

Elsewhere, Phil feels lonely without Ben and Louise, and is further hurt when Denise takes Raymond over to No.20 for christening prep. Phil is stung when Callum fails to invite him to a video call with Ben and heads to No.43 to ask Sharon for time with Albie.

Sharon is initially reluctant, but she soon relents and is later warmed to see Phil and Albie bond whilst playing football in the Square. Things are looking up when Sharon convinces Callum to ask Phil to join Ben’s prison call.

But the moment is short-lived and Sharon abruptly leaves when Callum starts asking questions about Dean and Keanu. Later, Phil heads to No.43 to speak to Sharon, and after intercepting a suspicious text from Linda on her phone, demands to know the truth.

Callum suspicions are piqued by a comment made by Linda. Later, Callum heads to No.55 for Ben’s prison call, but Phil soon leaves after Callum shares details about his earlier conversation with Sharon.

Phil continues to press Sharon but she is adamant there is nothing to tell. Realising he must try a different tact, Phil makes to head to The Vic to ask Linda himself, but Sharon stops him in his tracks.

Sharon is spooked when she bumps into Callum in the café and he announces that he’s speaking to the detectives who investigated Keanu’s murder about the case. Sharon heads to The Vic to see Johnny, Linda and Jack to discuss a way to keep Callum off the scent. Phil is later warmed when she agrees to let him spend more time with their son.

Jack speaks to Callum and tries to deter him professionally, but Johnny isn’t convinced it’s enough and later uses Ben’s absence to try and convince him otherwise. Sharon lets Phil spend time with Albie at No.43, and once alone, Phil confirms to Albie that he’s his dad.

Also happening on EastEnders, Patrick tries to convince Yolande to skip the baptism, but she’s adamant she’s going. Later, Yolande is annoyed when she learns that Patrick tried to meddle with Chelsea’s plans and the pair share a heated exchange before she leaves.

Later, Elaine buoys Yolande with advice, but it’s short-lived after an encounter with Pastor Clayton and his wife outside the community centre.

Yolande feels anxious on the day of Jordan’s baptism, but she’s steadied by Patricks support. Chelsea is nervous before heading to the church, but is soon distracted by Kim’s outfit. At the church, Denise senses something is up with Yolande and tries to speak to her separately.

Later, Bernie arrives at the church and bumps into Yolande praying. After the pair share a heart-to-heart about bravery, Yolande decides to go ahead with the baptism as planned but it all gets too much.

Also, Harvey and Maya go to lunch after Maya is stood up by a friend, but the conversation is soon soured when Harvey reveals the truth about his son Aaron’s criminal past when the pair discuss their families.

Harvey later worries he’s lost Maya as a friend when she doesn’t respond to his text, but elsewhere Maya is looking up details relating to Aaron’s previous criminal history.
