EastEnders spoilers: Yolande exit confirmed, George collapses and huge Stevie twist

EastEnders fans can expect plenty of drama next week in Walford.

Patrick is worried sick about Yolande, especially after Sonia lets slip that she missed a medical appointment he didn’t know about. Meanwhile, Denise is concerned that Yolande is a no-show at the launch of the food van and suggests to Patrick that perhaps Pastor Clayton could help talk to her.

Patrick takes her advice and confides in Pastor Clayton, who implies that Yolande could be unwell. During a heart-to-heart, Patrick tells Yolande about Pastor Clayton’s ‘concerns’ leaving Yolande furious.

Yolande can’t bring herself to tell Patrick the truth, so when Elaine rings to check on her, she asks her friend to do it instead. Over the phone, Elaine gently explains what’s happened to shell-shocked Patrick.

Trying to process the news, Patrick attempts to talk to Yolande, who locks herself in the bathroom but when Patrick’s anger kicks in, and he heads to confront Pastor Clayton, Yolande rushes to stop him. As they return inside they discuss what Yolande has been through. Yolande agrees to report Pastor Clayton to the church officials.

Patrick wants to go with Yolande to report Pastor Clayton, but she insists on going alone. She tells Levi about Pastor Clayton sexually assaulting her, and he commends her bravery and promises to start investigating her complaint right away.

Patrick isn’t happy to hear that Levi has scheduled a meeting with his superiors for next week, incredulous that the process is so slow. Patrick collars Levi in the café and tells him to get a move on, or he’ll take the matter into his own hands.

When Patrick sees Pastor Clayton posturing at the Community Centre, he confronts him before Yolande arrives and begs him to stop. Patrick then suggests they go away for a break while Levi handles the matter.

Meanwhile, Honey tries to persuade Billy to give Stevie a chance, but he’s adamant that he’s allowed nowhere near their family. Later, in the café, Stevie bumps into Lexi, Will and Janet and tries to get to know them all better over lunch.

When Billy hears about the lunch, he storms over to The Vic to warn Stevie off but Honey insists the kids have a right to get to know their granddad.

Billy continues to refuse Honey’s pleas to let the kids see Stevie and flies off the handle when he sees Will with his grandad at the café. The situation almost turns violent, leaving Billy horrified that he’s turning into his father. Phil advises Billy to keep Stevie close and find out what he’s really after.

Against his better judgment, Billy meets Stevie for a drink and demands to know what he really wants. Stevie insists he’s a lonely old man who just wants to get to know his family. Honey, Will and Janet are shocked when they arrive home to find Billy has invited Stevie over.

Elsewhere on EastEnders, George is devastated when the girls break the news that Eddie held Gloria’s funeral without telling him. Struggling, George contacts Rufus to arrange a fight. Gina and Anna come up with the idea of holding a memorial for Gloria in The Vic to help George grieve, and Anna leaves a message for their half-brother Junior to join them.

It’s the day of Gloria’s memorial, and George is nursing bad injuries from his fight the night before. The girls are disappointed when Junior is a no-show, but things get worse when George gets dizzy and almost collapses.

Realising what’s happening, Cindy and Phil insist he goes to the hospital. Once there, the doctors give George a CAT scan and discover he’s got a brain condition linked to repeated blows to the head. The doctor tells George that one bad knock could kill him.

Elaine and the girls are furious to discover he’s been fighting, and Cindy knew. Back in Walford, Cindy sees George get approached by Rufus, who gives him last night’s cash and the offer of another fight.

Cindy is upset that the girls aren’t speaking to her because she kept George’s boxing secret. They eventually agree to meet her for lunch, where Cindy promises to convince George not to fight again.

Later, during a tense conversation, George initially rejects Cindy’s suggestion of online therapy to help him cope with his overwhelming emotions, but she talks him around. Once alone, George rings Rufus to arrange a fight next week and later tells Cindy what he intends to do.
