Girls Aloud fans are convinced they’ve spotted tension amongst the bandmates, as they gear up for their much-anticipated reunion tour.
Pop sensations Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, and Nadine Coyle are all set to hit the stage for The Girls Aloud Show’s opening night in Dublin this evening. Cheryl, who’s just celebrated her 40th birthday took to Instagram earlier today to post a cheeky snap from the plane, flashing a peace sign with the caption: “Ready for take off.”
In the pic, she’s seen chilling in front of bandmates Nicola, 38, and Kimberley, 42, while Nadine, also 38, is spotted hanging back. Despite their happy demeanours, some sharp-eyed followers pointed out what they reckon could be signs of tension within the group.

One fan popped the question: “Why is Nadine always on her own?” Another chimed in and said: “Be kind to @nadinecoyle as you three have treated her and the late Sarah terribly over the years.”
Fans may remember that after the band went their separate ways after their 2013 split, Cheryl, Kimberley, and Nicola stuck together like glue. Meanwhile, Nadine and Sarah Harding, who lost her battle with cancer in 202, took different paths.
At the time, Nadine didn’t shy away from social media, making it crystal clear that she wasn’t behind the decision to call it quits, saying she was all in for keeping the show on the road. She wrote: “You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn’t stop them. I had the best time and want to keep going.”
But Cheryl wasn’t having any of it. Hitting back at Nadine’s version of events, she branded her claims as “full of s***” and pointed the finger at Nadine for wanting a break back in 2009, which she reckons led to the band’s downfall.
She exclaimed: “She was the one who wanted to make a solo record. Which is why we took the hiatus. She wants to come out and say we broke the band up? No! She shouldn’t tell porkie pies.”
Yet, the group has united in saying that Sarah’s battle with breast cancer was the catalyst for their reunion. Kimberley Walsh revealed to OK! Magazine: “It’s made us be in contact more regularly than we would normally. As much as this is a tough time for us, it’s nice that it’s given us the drive to spend time together.”
