Holly Willoughby shared an emotional post about “blossoming in dark times” following her return to TV last week.
In October, the beloved presenter stepped down from her role on This Morning and her comeback on Dancing on Ice with Stephen Mulhern was confirmed on December 27 just weeks before the show was due to kick off.
She had co-hosted most of the previous 15 seasons of the show with her former best mate, Phillip Schofield who quit showbiz last May after admitting to having an affair with a younger male colleague from This Morning.

Ahead of this weekend’s Dancing On Ice, Holly took to her Wylde Moon Instagram page and posted about the significance of the moonflower. The caption over a picture of two flourishing flowers read: “The moonflower has become a symbol of blossoming in dark times.”
“These fragrant, white flowers have evolved over millions of years to open only at night and their ethereal, nocturnal beauty is a powerful symbol of how resilience, strength and growth can flourish during the darkest and most challenging moments.” Holly also shared the inspirational post on her personal account.
“Even in the dark… she grows… Nature is beautiful,” she penned. Before Dancing On Ice made its ITV comeback, the telly star was reportedly “nervous, but excited” about her return, which seemed to go off without a hitch last week.
As the show aired, fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate Holly’s “fun” personality and her rapport with Stephen – her former co-host on the kids’ show Ministry of Mayhem back in 2004. One fan gushed: “Stephen and Holly have been amazing. Injected some real fun, weekend light entertainment vibes back into the show.”
Another agreed: “Holly is thriving without Pip Schofield. I feel like she’s able to have fun with Stephen and they just work together. She’s also given an opportunity to speak rather than being spoken over constantly like he used to do.” A third chimed in: “Brilliant seeing Holly back on TV last night. She and Stephen work so well together.”
A fourth remarked: “For the first time in years I’ve actually enjoyed #DancingOnIce! Stephen and Holly work well together and some of the skaters have real potential.” And a fifth declared: “So lovely to see Holly back on the box. Your beautiful face has been missed. Welcome back. What a great job from Stephen Mulhern. Such a brilliant replacement.”
