House of the Dragon stars admit stealing ‘loads’ of props – but for good reason

House of the Dragon stars Luke and Elliott Tittensor admit they stole “loads” of items from the set of the HBO show.

The 34-year-old twins play Kingsguard brothers who end up fighting on opposing sides in the hit Game of Thrones spin-off, which returns with its second series on Monday (June 17). Luke is Sir Arryk Cargyll, who sides with Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy).

Arryk becomes a knight of the Queensguard, whereas Elliot is Team Green as Erryk sides with King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney). But when they weren’t fighting epic battles, it seems the twins were rather busy taking Westeros-shaped souvenirs from set.

Daily Star spoke to the twins on the red carpet at the House of the Dragon premiere in London’s Leicester Square last week. They revealed they were practically filling their pockets with Targaryen treasure when they weren’t shooting scenes.

Asked if they took anything, Luke admitted: “Loads,” to which Elliott added: “We’ve probably got the most [stolen items], haven’t we?” Luke went on: “I think we definitely took the most off set, 100%.

“You can take the guys out of Manchester, but you can’t take Manchester out of the lads. If it wasn’t nailed down, I’m taking it straight away!”

The stars teased that they couldn’t resist grabbing the priceless gear as they like collectibles and knew that fans wouldn’t be able to get their hands on them otherwise. Luke continued: “Me and Ell [Elliiot], we like collectibles as well, don’t we?

“We’re aware that the public’s never going to be able to get any House of the Dragon collectibles unless I take it from set. So that’s where it came from.”

Elliott knew it was best they covered their tracks just a little bit as he laughed: “We won’t tell you what we got though!” But you can probably bet that their haul might include the likes of swords, shields, helmets and dragon-themed goodies.

Elliott also discussed how great it was to spend time on set with the likes of Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith, who plays the ruthless Daemon Targaryen in the fantasy series. “You can practice on your own but it’s such a collaborative experience [acting],” he said.

“It’s not until you get on set and you’re with everyone else that you feel that energy. I’ve been on the [Team] Black side so I’ve been with Matt and Em a lot.

“Both of them are amazing people and amazing at their craft. It’s great to be on a platform with them and share that experience with them.”
