Johnny Rotten’s pal got spooked by a ghostly “dead-ringer” of the Sex Pistol.
Jah Wobble – who played bass with the punk icon in Public Image Limited – saw a ghost he was convinced was his old mate.
He was living in Edmonton Green, London, at the time and knew “something wasn’t right about the place”.

Jah, 65, born John Wardle, said Rotten moved in with him when he needed somewhere to stay.
It was at that point he mistook the ghoul on the stairs for the singer, now 68, and asked if it wanted a cup of tea.
He said: “I went into the kitchen with an incredulous look on my face. ‘I just saw you go upstairs,’
I said.
“He gave me a funny look like I was having a laugh.”
In his new book Dark Luminosity, Jah said the spirit’s next visit was more sinister.
He said: “We heard the front door open and saw a large black-clad figure go past the frosted-glass door.
“We then heard smashing and banging from upstairs. When I got upstairs there was no sign of anybody. All the drawers were pulled out and clothes had been chucked about.
“All the windows were locked from the inside.”
