Netflix fanatics, prepare to be thrilled all over again
The hit superhero sensation Supacell is confirmed for a gripping second season run – starring Tosin Cole as the extraordinary Michael Lasaki from South London who unexpectedly comes into superpowers, the show has been a total knockout among viewers with its edge-of-the-seat narrative.

Joining forces with four other empowered Black individuals tied to a legacy of sickle cell disease, Michael and his crew dive into solving enigmas whilst dodging the moves of a murky organisation. With a first season finale that left devotees on a high-strung suspense and critics giving thumbs up, its hardly a shocker that Netflix would bet on prolonging the buzz.
Yet, despite the cheer around the comeback, some aficionados reckon there’s scope for stepping up the game in the forthcoming sequel, and they’re taking to forums to voice out their perspectives, reports the Mirror.
A leading point in the convo is a spruce-up for Supacells special effects with opinion huddles feeling that the current tricks haven’t quite got the punch equal to today’s cinematic giants. “Season 1 was alright but you could see the budget with all the effects,” a Reddit buff wrote down. “Hopefully they have a higher budget this time and get better effect quality.”
Another eager fan chimed in with caution though, debating whether a meatier wallet will translate to finer visuals. “They will guaranteed have a higher budget, but will that result in better effects? ” came across their sceptic musing.
“Maybe. That also makes it more likely to be cancelled after season 2, however. Unless it gets absolutely earth-shattering views. You know how Netflix do.”
Someone else couldn’t hold back their frustration with the protagonist, venting: “Main character annoyed the hell out of me. JUST TALK TO YOUR LADY! WTF! “.
Another person noted: “This is good. Loved season 1 but it was 99% character introductions and set ups for season 2,”. One fan on Twitter even begged for more: “Yeessssss I CANNOT WAIT! ! ! Season 2 needs to have 20 episodes! ! ! “
“Yes lets go. And make it longer as well,” rallied another cheerleader, echoing the sentiment that more is more when it comes to this enthralling drama.
