Oasis extra UK dates hopes dashed – but there could still be a way to catch them in 2025

Oasis fans have been left gutted after the band confirmed they will not be adding any more dates to their UK and Ireland tour next year. The 17 sold-out gigs will be the only chance for fans in Europe to see Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite at long last.

But there could be a chance to catch the Wonderwall rockers after the band announced plans to tour outside of Europe later next year. Fans who missed out on tickets in Friday’s pre-sale and Saturday’s general sale had been hoping for additional dates, but those hopes have now been dashed.

It is believed a staggering 14 million users were vying for a place at the reunion gigs, which saw three extra nights hastily added due to high demand. All UK and Ireland dates for Oasis’s reunion tour sold out in less than a day on Saturday (August 31), leading to a chaotic day for desperate devotees.

Those who missed out vented their frustrations at being booted from ticket selling websites and quoted inflated prices for the reunion tour. At 7pm, the Manchester rockers took to social media to announce tickets for Oasis Live ’25 UK and Ireland were all snapped up, issuing a stark warning about dodgy tickets on resale sites, reports the Mirror.

They posted: “Oasis Live ’25 UK and Ireland tickets have now sold out. Please be aware of counterfeit and void tickets appearing on the secondary market. Tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @TicketmasterUK and @Twickets.”

Earlier in the day, at 1.23pm, Ticketmaster had already dropped the bombshell that tickets for the Irish gigs at Dublin’s Croke Park were gone. Desperate fans faced a nightmare trying to get onto Gigs and Tours and See Tickets websites, with both crashing under the pressure – leaving many unable to get their hands on tickets. Some punters even got kicked off Ticketmaster UK and Ireland, accused of being ‘bots’.

The customer service team advised frantic fans: “Only [use] one tab, clear your cookies, and ensure you aren’t using any VPN software on your device.” To add insult to injury, some tickets’ prices skyrocketed from roughly £148 to a whopping £355 on Ticketmaster after admirers had been queuing online for hours.

The website tried to justify the eye-watering “in-demand standing ticket” prices, stating: “The event organiser has priced these tickets according to their market value. Tickets do not include VIP packages. Availability and pricing are subject to change.”

In response to the uproar over prices, Ticketmaster clarified to PA news agency that they don’t set the prices, pointing to their website which explains that costs can be “fixed or market-based.” The pricing of tickets is believed to be determined by promoters, not the artists themselves. Already, Oasis tickets have been spotted on ticket exchange and reselling websites Viagogo and Stubhub, with prices soaring into the thousands.

The Gallagher brothers have been under constant pressure from fans to reunite since their split 15 years ago, a result of a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009. Noel, now 57, left the band on August 28 of that year, stating he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” The brothers have now been publicly feuding for over a decade.

However, on Tuesday (August 27), it was confirmed that the band’s bitter split had come to an end, with the announcement that “the great wait is over” for reunion dates. The band revealed that Oasis Live 25 would be a global tour, with shows outside Europe to be confirmed at a later date.

As gig tickets went on sale on Saturday, Noel was seen supporting his home team Manchester City as they triumphed over West Ham United 3-1 at London Stadium.
