Phillip Schofield has bagged a prime gig on Channel 5 and he’s sporting a new look.
The ex-This Morning host dramatically left his ITV post after confessing to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger male colleague in 2023. Now, 16 months post the scandal that shook the showbiz world, Phillip has been covertly shooting for Channel 5’s Cast Away.
In the show, viewers will witness a rugged Schofield marooned on a tropical island for 10 days. During the programme, Phillip will delve into the past two years in depth.

Stranded in Madagascar, Phillip will document himself as he survives alone while also pondering over the chaos of the scandal he was embroiled in, reports the Mirror.
Chatting about his fresh role, an insider told The Sun: “Over the past few months Phil has had quite a few offers for various things – but has steadfastly turned them all down. This sort of challenge has always appealed to him though and after consulting with friends and family, he decided to go for it. It’s all been top secret, and has been an incredibly quick turnaround in order to keep the news quiet.”
“With 10 days to himself, no camera crews or production around, he shot some unbelievably raw footage – some of it makes for tough, emotional viewing. But he wanted a chance to share his story, unedited and honest, and let viewers see another side to him,” they added.
An insider has spilled the beans, claiming it’s a “massive coup” for Channel 5 and big news for Schofield, yet hes not sprinting back to his high-earning TV career, admitting he’s “still bruised”.
