Chef Levi Roots has revealed he wears so much bling it makes him stoop. The 66-year-old, who shot to fame after appearing on Dragons’ Den with his Reggae Reggae Sauce in 2007, said he never goes out without wearing his jewellery.
He is often pictured with rings on every finger, multiple bracelets on both wrists and necklaces. The dad-of-eight said he even ‘blinged up’ for the school run.
Asked about his jewellery habit, Levi – who has a fortune of around £30m – said the combined weight of them made him ‘stoop’. He also said he reckoned he owned more Ozwald Boateng suits, which sell for thousands, than anyone else in the world.

He said: “I can also boastfully say that I have perhaps the most Ozwald Boateng designer suits of anyone – more than 45. I collect jewellery as well.
“I’m actually stooping over with the weight of rings and bracelets. I never go out without my jewellery, even on the school run.”
he charismatic British-Jamaican rose to fame in 2007 after appearing on BBC show Dragons’ Den in a bid to secure funding for his Reggae Reggae Sauce business venture. Proving a huge success, the 65-year-old has gone on to earn a fortune by creating several more condiments, as well as soft drinks, ice creams and ready meals.
Life in his younger days was much different, however. Aged 15 in the 1970s he was imprisoned in Pentonville for six months charged with assaulting a police officer. And in 1986 he was convicted once more following a raid on the youth centre he ran that found him to be in possession of drugs and a gun.
Almost four decades on, Levi maintains his innocence, however, insisting he was part of a police set-up, who were targeting “Yardies” at the time.
