Slash’s stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight’s autopsy has been released.
DailyMail.com reported: “Knight was found unresponsive on July 19 and was pronounced dead the same day at 3pm local time.” Last month, Los Angeles County’s medical examiner announced that she had died of hydrogen sulphide toxicity, ruled as a suicide.
“Knight was determined to have died as a result of inhaling the toxic gas, which is naturally occuring and can also be found in sewage treatment plants and oil refineries,” they reported. “However, it can also be created by mixing certain cleaning products.”

Paramedics and police would have been at risk of poisoning from the gas, but Lucy-Bleu gave anyone who came close a chilling warning. She reportedly wrote a note and left it on top of a bin, “immediately visible” for anyone who walked through the front door.
DailyMail.com reported that she wrote: “CAUTION CALL HAZMAT IM SO SORRY H2S GAS TOXIC DONT ENTER.” Knight had used blue tape to seal cracks in the door, to cover light fixtures, outlets and air vents in an attempt to prevent the gas from leaking out of the room, as well as black bags lining the bottom of the shower.
According to the publication, officers “observed a suction sensation when the front door was opened” along with a “chemical odour”. After reading the note a Hazmat team was called in. Sadly, Lucy-Bleu was found in the bathroom lying on her back – it is believed that she was leaned up against the bathroom door before it was opened.
The report told that Knight was in a short-term rental and she was found by the property’s owner, who had not received a response from her. DailyMail.com explained: “According to the report, lividity, the postmortem lack of colour in the skin, had already set in as had rigor mortis. Investigators also observed a dark discolouration on Knight’s lips.”
Responders reportedly found prescription medications throughout Lucy-Bleu’s home. One found was the antidepressant escitalopram and the atypical antipsychotic paliperidone which can be used to treat schizophrenia along with schizoaffective disorder.
Toxicology tests indicated that Knight did not have any prescription drugs in her system, which implies that Lucy-Bleu had not been taking her medication prior to her death.
