TOWIE star expecting first child with girlfriend who stood by him during prison stay

The Only Way Is Essex’s Mike Hassini has revealed that his girlfriend, Jessica Milford, is expecting their first child.

The 29-year-old former reality TV star was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal cash in 2021.

However, he was released just two years into his sentence last year. Jessica took to social media to share the joyous news, posting pictures of their baby scan.

An insider told the Daily Mail: “Family has always been very important to [Mike] and knowing he’s finally going to have a baby means the world to both him and Jessica. Going to prison massively changed his perspective on life and everything he wants to achieve, he knows how lucky he is to have a second chance and he’s so appreciative of Jessica, who’s stuck by him through thick and thin.”

Jessica, the daughter of an oil tycoon, stood by Mike throughout his time behind bars. Upon his release, the couple celebrated their reunion with a holiday. At the time of his arrest, Mike was caught exchanging £70,000 worth of cocaine with accomplice Gary Bear.

When police searched his car, he admitted to having “around £36,000 in cash, despite not having counted it himself.” In a stern 2021 lecture, Judge Richard Inyundo didn’t mince his words when he addressed Mike and Gary Bear: “You are not the only two young men to find yourselves in difficulty due to the Covid pandemic.

“But many people in far more difficult positions than you did not make the decision to go into criminality and certainly did not make the decision to go into very serious criminality, which frankly both of you made the decision to do with your eyes wide open.”

The judge also pointed out that their actions had put Mike’s girlfriend and her family “under suspicion of serious criminal offending”, leading to her wrongful arrest before she was eventually released without charge. Mike, who shot to fame on Towie from 2015 to 2018, found himself axed after a massive cast shake-up.

His time on the reality TV show was marred by controversy; he was suspended in 2016 following an arrest for drink driving and cocaine possession. A spokesperson for Towie commented at the time: “In view of the charges brought against him, Mike Hassini has been suspended from TOWIE until further notice.”

After owning up to his misdemeanours in court and promising to turn over a new leaf, he was welcomed back on the show a year later. His return saw him regain his status as a heartthrob, with his ripped physique and dashing looks winning back the hearts of fans nationwide.
