Union J frontman Jaymi Hensley has broken his silence following the tragic passing of his “beautiful” fiancé Oliver Marmon.
The former X Factor star, 34, had been in a relationship with Oliver for more than 14 years before he died on Sunday evening (August 11). Hairdresser Oliver, 33, sadly perished after he fell from a window at Hind Hotel in Wellingborough, Northampton.
It is understood his partner Jaymi was cleared by police after he was reportedly arrested on suspicion of murder following his partner’s death. The musician has now thanked his loyal legion of fans for all their love and support with a statement to MailOnline.

It reads: “Jaymi Hensley would like to thank all the love, messages and prayers sent to him over the loss of his beautiful fiancé Oliver Marmon. At this time the family would like the media to respect the privacy of Jaymi and Oliver’s family while they mourn the loss of Oliver.”
Last September, Jaymi reflected on his long-lasting relationship with the hairstylist as they looked forward to their upcoming nuptials. The happy couple were due to tie the knot next month.
On Instagram, he wrote: “14 years together and one year until ‘I do’. Happy Anniversary @ollymarmon! I think of many beautiful quotes when I think of our relationship so far but one that really sums it all up for me is from her Late Majesty QE2, ‘He has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years’.
I love you irrevocably and so excited that in 365 days we will finally be Mr & Mr.” The couple, who got engaged back in 2014, were looking forward to their future as a married couple before the heartbreaking tragedy occurred this week.
It comes after Oliver shared a poignant Instagram post on July 21 as the pair enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Norway. He said: “Norway! you were epic! Over and out! round 2 on Arvia Mediterranean bound.”
Commenting on their upcoming wedding, Oliver added: “Best week with my man and 9 weeks and counting until we say I do!” His final post on the social media platform came just seven days before his death where the pair could be seen in the heart of Marseille, France.
He simply captioned the sweet selfie: “Bonjour de Marseille.” Detectives launched a murder investigation after paramedics and police officer fought to save Oliver’s life on Sunday.
Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene just one hour later. Police have stated that Jaymi was released without charge. The case into the tragedy has been closed following a forensic post-mortem examination carried out at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Medical professionals confirmed they “did not support” Oliver’s death as a homicide. East Midland’s Special Operations Unit major crime team has now been stood down and a file is being prepared for the coroner’s office.
