David Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn has faced rumours of a rift with the rest of his family after his absence from the footy icon’s 50th birthday celebrations last month
Brooklyn Beckham gave sister Harper some advice before his rumoured family rift was exposed.
Back in March, David and Victoria’s eldest son told his 13-year-old sister not to listen to anyone and to pursue what she loves. The heartfelt advice came just weeks before Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz were missing from his dad David’s 50th birthday party in London.
It’s claimed there’s a dispute involving Brooklyn and Nicola, his parents David and Victoria, and his younger brother Romeo. Brooklyn seemed to side with wife Nicola, an alleged cause of the fallout, when he declared he will “always choose” her in a defiant statement posted on Instagram.
Asked what his advice would be to Harper, the aspiring chef told the MailOnline: “I just tell her, find that one thing that you love and just put your head down, don’t listen to anyone.”
Brooklyn fuelled speculation about the family feud on Sunday (May 15) when he took to Instagram with a gushing post about his wife, the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz. Brooklyn posted a video showing him riding a red motorbike down the streets of Los Angeles.
The pair seemed smitten on the bike ride as Nicola sat behind Brooklyn with her arms wrapped around his neck. Brooklyn threw his support behind Nicola in the caption, writing: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.”
Nicola echoed Brooklyn’s affectionate ‘I choose you’ post on her own Instagram. She responded: “I’ve always got you baby.”
In what could be seen as a response to his brother Brooklyn’s post, Cruz penned an affectionate post about his family. He shared a family photo that included Brooklyn and wrote: “I love my family, I love you guys more than anything, mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives x.”
It’s believed Brooklyn and Nicola had flown to London and sources claimed they had initially planned on attending David’s birthday celebrations. However, it’s said the couple didn’t attend David’s other birthday celebrations including a party at the Beckham’s Cotswolds home and a trip to Paris, France.
David admitted that he’d missed Brooklyn on a recent family camping trip to Scotland. The former England ace whisked his sons away to Scotland and they were seen fishing on a boat and cooking by the fire.
He told followers: “Six months ago I planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th was so much fun”. He posted some snaps from the trip, including a selfie with Romeo and Cruz.
David revealed he’d banned the pair from using their phones on the trip in a snap showing the trio on the side of a boat. He couldn’t help but see the funny side of it as he penned: “Last time the boys were allowed to use their phones [laughing emoji] look so happy about it [laughing emoji]”.
But his eldest son wasn’t there and David acknowledged this in the caption, writing: “Fun times in Scotland,” tagging Brooklyn and adding: “You were missed,”
