Brooklyn Beckham renewed his vows to darling wife Nicola Peltz in a touching ceremony earlier this month, but reports have now suggested that he deliberately snubbed his own family
Brooklyn Beckham has made an “upsetting” move after appearing to snub his family at his vow renewal. It comes as signs of a rift between Brooklyn and his family have reopened in recent weeks.
Brooklyn, 26, tied the knot to darling wife Nicola Peltz in a romantic ceremony back in 2022, with both families in attendance celebrating the happy couple. However, the renewal ceremony, held at Nicola’s billionaire dad Nelson’s estate, only contained Nicola’s family three years on.
Now, it has been revealed that Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria had not showed up to the event as they were thousands of miles away on a yacht trip. But not only were David and Victoria left in the lurch regarding the ceremony, so too were all the members of his family.
According to the Mirror, all three of Brooklyn’s siblings, his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, were all not told about the event. As a result, no one from Brooklyn’s side of the family was in attendance, leaving it entirely down to Nicola’s loved ones to support the pair.
On top of his family being snubbed from the event, all of Brooklyn’s UK-based pals were left out of the invite list for the event in Los Angeles on August 2. It has now been reported that the first time that his loved ones had known about the ceremony was when they read about it in the press.
Signs of a rift have steadily been showing between Brooklyn and the rest of the Beckhams, with cracks having already been spotted at the pair’s original wedding. Since then, Brooklyn has opted to shun his family, going as far as to snub his own father’s 50th birthday plans.
An insider close to the family told the newspaper: “It must have been very upsetting to find out this way.” It comes after Nicola shared a slew of photos of the event, with the couple looking more loved up than ever before.
Speaking with People about the secret event, Brooklyn explained the aim of the ceremony was to create a touching moment that both of them would remember forever. He added that he would go on to have some of the vows he made tattooed onto his own body, similar to what he did three years previously.
He explained: “To be honest, I could renew my vows every single day with her. I think the most important thing that someone can do is find that person that they’re going to spend the rest of their life with.
“It definitely shapes you as a person,” he added. “Yeah, it was really, really cute. It was really fun.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the Beckham family are thousands of miles away, indulging in a luxurious holiday around Italy on a yacht which has set the clan back £16million. Previously, sources close to Nicola have indicated that there could be no consolation between her relationship with Posh and Becks.
Insiders have said that as “an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within”. However, pals of the Beckhams have completely refuted the claims, branding them “patently untrue and ludicrous”.
