With the final of Celebrity Big Brother coming ever closer ITV bosses have announced a major twist in the show, but some fans are less than happy with producers’ decisions
Fans of Celebrity Big Brother are seething over a twist that could affect the final
Tensions are beginning to rise in the house after Chris Hughes blasted Ella Rae Wise for being jealous of his friendship with JoJo Siwa, though fans and housemates have been left cringing with their recent antics. On top of this, the twists are getting stronger in the house, with one former housemate making a surprise return.
But in the latest announcement by ITV producers, fans have been left fuming over what Big Brother has in store for the housemates. With nominations set to air on Monday (April 21), fans have heard how the show will be progressing until the final.
In emotional scenes that will air on Monday, housemates are having to nominate face-to-face, with the public then being given the option to save their fave from eviction on Tuesday (April 22). However, of those who will be nominated, one lucky housemate will save themselves by finding a secret item.
ITV said in a statement: “One of the nominated housemates is given the chance to save themselves. They must find the one golden egg hidden in a basket at the centre of the room.”
They added: “Find this, and they save themselves, BUT they must choose one of the non-nominated housemates to replace them. Who will be saved? And who is set to face the public vote?”
In total, three housemates will be given the boot from the house as the final edges ever closer. But fans reacting to the news have not been happy with what ITV have in store for viewers and housemates alike.
Taking to social media, many chastised the decision to offer up immunity from eviction when the final is just days away. “No need for the egg twist…just put the nominated housemates up! Doesn’t need the extra dramatics,” one person fumed.
“This is so stupid”, a second added. Whilst a third chimed in: “Getting to save yourself from a TRIPLE eviction is a bit much; like this could be boosting someone from 9th to 6th place just because they find an egg – I knew it was all going too well this series.”
Dramatic scenes will see one housemate storming out of the room following the nominations twist in floods of tears. ITV added that the unlucky housemate cannot cope with the pressure and has to leave the room, but teased: “Will they be able to pull it together and carry on with the process?”
ITV have already revealed how some of the nominations have been given, with renowned presenter Angellica Bell opting to put EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer up for eviction. Explaining her reasoning, she said that she wanted to surround herself with genuine people.
“I’ve been told you like to play a massive game, and you come into things with a game plan,” she told Patsy. “And when Daley said that to me, and told me to be careful, I can’t get it out of my head.”
In other news, Chris Hughes will end up breaking down in tears as he is challenged on his friendship with JoJo once again. Shedding a tear in the diary room, Chris admits he “just doesn’t get it”, adding: “If you have things to say, just air it.”
