Clarkson’s Farm newbie Harriet Cowan has revealed her true feelings about fellow farmer Kaleb Cooper, after things got a bit awkward between the pair in a recent episode
Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan has shared her true feelings about co-star Kaleb Cooper.
The 24-year-old nurse and farmer was recently introduced as Jeremy Clarkson’s new farmhand on the fourth series of the Prime Video hit. She’s been brought in to help run Diddly Squat Farm, temporarily replacing Jezza’s sidekick Kaleb.
Farm manager Kaleb has found huge success since appearing on Clarkson’s Farm and is reportedly now a millionaire. He’s embarked on a nationwide tour, meaning Jeremy needed to get an extra pair of hands in Kaleb’s absence.
However, it seemed like things got a little awkward between Kaleb and Harriet in a recent episode of the show. The pair were introduced by Jeremy when Kaleb returned to the farm.
Clarkson told Kaleb that he needed to be nice to his new recruit, saying: “Right, now, that’s Harriet. Now be nice – behave.”
Kaleb stood in silence and watched Harriet working, at one point she might not have known what fertiliser to use on the field. Clarkson later scolded him for his behaviour, telling him he’d developed “c*** fly” on his tour.
However, Harriet has now revealed that she and Kaleb aren’t feuding and actually get on really well. She told BBC Derby: “Kaleb’s amazing. Me and him are so close now. He’s such a good farmer and we got on really well.”
She continued: “He’s another farmer to add to my phone list to ring. Everyone checks in to make sure everyone’s fine. The farm is two and a bit hours away, so it’s crazy to be talking to Kaleb, Jeremy, Gerald and Charlie and asking what the weather is like.”
She also addressed a potential return to the show, adding: “My life is going to be constantly farming. I’m never not going to farm, and I know it.
“I’ve just got to find a way to use what platform I’ve got to promote women in the industry and mental health. You’re never getting me off the farm, they’ll have to take me screaming and kicking.
Harriet also teased a future return to Diddly Squat Farm. She said: “We’ve left it very open. I’m here if he needs me, but no plans at the moment.”
Jezza himself has addressed bringing Harriet back to the farm. He told The Sun: “It’s a reality show. We don’t just bring characters in because the TV show needs it. You bring them in because you really need them.
“I loved Harriet to bits and I wish her all the very best. She was fantastic to have around. But the truth is, we’ve got Kaleb, and he might go off and do Celebrity Love Island or something, and if I can’t manage, I’ll call Harriet in a heartbeat.”
