Danny Jones was recently spotted kissing his former I’m A Celebrity co-star Maura Higgins while at the BRIT Awards, despite being married his wife Georgia, the mother of his child
Danny and Georgia Jones are no strangers to discussing their marriage in the spotlight.
Before the McFly singer was spotted kissing his former I’m A Celebrity campmate Maura Higgins, Danny and Georgia have spoken about their relationship in front of the cameras multiple times.
Turns out that the former McFly singer had joked about “leaving his wife” just days before he was spotted smooching with Maura at the 2025 BRIT Awards. On a recent episode of the Parenting Hell podcast, Rob Beckett joked that some celebrities go on the show for the money to pay their “massive tax bill” and that their “wife had just left them”.
Danny played along with the joke and responded: “Do you know what? I left my wife to move, I just left my wife,” as they all laughed. He then added: “I left my wife to move house so I’m surprised she’s still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.”
Georgia previously branded Danny a “bit of a d***” while discussing her first impressions of the chart-topping singer, during which she branded him a “top s******”. The mother-of-one also thought he fit the “musician stereotype” and was clearly unimpressed.
Apparently she “didn’t really want to” go on a date with him at all but when she told her mum about their plans, she replied: “Oh darling, what have you got to lose? Go on, go and enjoy yourself.”
The pair later married in 2014 and now share their son Cooper. While talking on her podcast Mum’s The Word, Georgia discussed how juggling her career with her duties as a mum in harder than people think.
As she chatted with Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey, Georgia said: “I will hold my hands up here and make all the other parents out there feel a lot better by saying, sometimes I am absolutely not in the moment and I do beat myself up about it.”
Georgia said that when he son Coop is in the bath, she “just sits there scrolling on her phone” before realising: “I’m doing it and then all of a sudden I go: ‘What am I doing?”
She admitted “there are times when she doesn’t realise she’s doing it” which makes her feel “a bit s*** and terrible” because she “doesn’t want Cooper to remember his childhood with her sat on her phone all the time”.
While Danny was away on tour, Georgia and Cooper enjoyed a Cornish getaway for some quality time together: “I came away from it feeling so happy and, like, content, so I can only imagine what Cooper must have felt like.”
Georgia and Danny previously planned for a bigger family, but the McFly singer has since revealed why they decided to stick with one child for now after welcoming Cooper back in 2018.
While speaking on Rob Beckett’s Parenting Hell podcast, when asked whether having just one child is laid-back he responded: “It is and it isn’t because with only having one, I see Harry [Judd] with three and Tom [Fletcher] with three, and I see myself with one and it doesn’t make it any easier just having one!”
Jones shared that he and his wife had originally envisioned country life with “two or three,” but the couple are “very much in London with one kid”.
