EastEnders star Luisa Bradshaw-White has shared a heartbreaking update with fans as she issued a desperate plea for help after her disabled family pony was stolen
An EastEnders actress has issued a heartrending appeal for help after her beloved pet was cruelly snatched by despicable thieves.
Luisa Bradshaw-White, best known for her role as Tina Carter in the BBC One soap until her departure in 2020, first rose to prominence in 1988 with her role as Herte in A Friendship in Vienna. Her acting career continued to flourish with parts in Grange Hill, The Bill, Birds of a Feather and Holby City.
Now aged 50, she also featured in the BBC medical drama Doctors before securing her role in EastEnders.
For eight years, Luisa portrayed Tina Carter on the popular soap, until her character met a grisly end at the hands of serial killer Gray Atkins. In October 2021, she announced that she had decided to step away from acting, having found it no longer satisfied her.
Since then, the actress has established a dance school in Hertfordshire where she organises “sober raves”, and credits dance as helping her discover her true “calling”, reports the Mirror.
The actress often shares glimpses of her personal life on Instagram, and her most recent post is particularly poignant. Addressing her 96,000 followers, she posted a close-up image of her family’s Shetland pony, alongside a caption that read: “PLEASE HELP! Our family Shetland who is disabled has been STOLEN. She had never been ridden, and she is old, has never been apart from her mum and she will be extremely stressed and anxious right now.
“She is a highly sensitive disabled rescue pony.”
Luisa has urgently reached out to her followers, posting: “Please, if anyone sees this and lives in the EAST SUSSEX area… she was taken from Brightling… can you repost and put on your stories so we can get this seen. Thank you in advance.”
The star’s appeal was met with a flood of comments, including pledges of support and promises to assist the former soap actress. A person commented: “Oh nooooo – how awful! I do hope you find her and that she’s safely found and back home with you very soon.”
Another said: “Praying that you get her back safe and well.”
While Luisa hasn’t given an update yet, she reiterated her plea on her Instagram Stories, stating: “WE NEED HER HOME.”
Outside of her past acting career, Luisa entered a civil partnership with Annette back in 2006, which turned into marriage during a beautiful ceremony in 2015, with their two daughters playing a special part as bridesmaids. They adopted their children when they were just toddlers, and recalling the moment in an interview with OK! magazine, Luisa shared: “We saw a picture and I burst into tears.
“I knew the girls were my children. I’d bought them clothes before we had even been approved to have them.”
