Ellie Goulding has sparked concern from fans after sharing a painful snap after cosmetic treatment.
Starry Eyed singer Ellie, 38, has been sharing updates with her followers in recent months as she shows off her ageless beauty. She even went as far as to strip off for the camera, covering herself in a field before running away – leaving fans astounded.
However, in the latest update for her followers, singer Ellie appeared to be in pain after a cosmetic procedure. The star has consistently hit back against claims that she uses cosmetic injections such as Botox and filler, instead relying on her natural beauty.
But in a video uploaded to her TikTok account on Thursday (April 10), Anything Can Happen singer Ellie showed she was getting a laser facial for her followers. While the procedure is effective, it can leave the skin red raw for hours or days afterwards.
Taking to the caption of the video, the star told her 1.7million followers: “I give up trying to look snatched.” She went on to describe the pain, joking that she looked like she had been “attacked by a laser grill” after getting the treatment done.
Fans of the British pop sensation – who is a proud mum-of-one to son Arthur – immediately flocked to the comments section as they watched in horror while Ellie had the procedure done. One concerned user pleaded with Ellie to be careful.
“My god Ellie, what happened to your skin?” they penned. “I hope it’s fine.” Meanwhile, a second viewer wrote: “You were beautiful just as you were! Not sure why you think you need to do anything. We love you for you!”
Laser facials are well-known for their usage by Hollywood A-listers including Jennifer Aniston and Kim Kardashian. The procedure is done by shooting laser to plump up cheeks and improve the skin tone and texture.
As well as this, laser facials are seen as one of the new ways to tackle ageing, with many going to the cosmetic surgeon to have the treatment done. The procedure is said to address issues including scars, uneven pigmentation and wrinkles by stimulating the collagen in the skin, whilst removing old and dead layers.
Despite being one of the leading treatments to tackle ageing, beauticians can charge hundreds – if not, thousands – of pounds. Some high-end beauty spots can charge as much as £2,500 for the pleasure.
Ellie has previously slammed claims that she has undergone plastic surgery to maintain her youthful look. Speaking to Vogue in 2023, she exclaimed: “I am always having my photo taken so my biggest priority is to make sure my skin looks hydrated and fresh.”
She added: “I love to use cryotherapy-inspired tools, like ice globes, straight from the freezer on my face in the morning to relieve puffiness before applying an under-eye mask.” In 2014, she also had to bat off allegations of having her breasts enlarged, explaining: “My boobs look bigger cause my waist is smaller; people underestimate how you can shape your body.”
