Emmerdale fans convinced ‘sinister’ illness is plaguing resident after horror crash

After a deadly limo crash, Emmerdale fans are convinced that one person is dealing with more than just the injuries caused by icy accident and think a ‘sinister’ twist is coming

Emmerdale viewers are fearful that a fan favourite will be dealing with a major health issue after the deadly limo crash which has already claimed the lives of three much-loved characters.

It’s been a dramatic week in soap land with car crashes and explosions galore, and Emmerdale fans have already had to deal with the deaths of Suzy Merton, Leyla Harding and Amy Wyatt. Now they fear that Chas is facing a “sinister” illness in what viewers are predicting will be a “miserable” twist.

Suzy was the first victim to be claimed by the accident, after suffering a fatal head injury. Leyla, who has been on the soap for 17 years, succumbed to severe blood loss after she was impaled by the ice when the limo crashed into the lake.

In last night’s episode (Thursday 20th), Amy suffered a cardiac arrest after she plunged into the freezing water. Tragically, she was the only one who saw what she thought was Nate’s body at the bottom of the lake.

She tried to tell Matty what she had seen but died shortly after. Fans are fearing the worst for Chas, after she keeps complaining of back pain.

One concerned fan wrote: “Did anyone else get the impression Chas’s ‘back pain’ was going to turn out to be something far worse? I know she slipped on the ice, and “tweaking” her back is a real possibility, but I can’t help thinking there will be more to it.”

One agreed: “Yes. Almost definitely. Either she’s more badly injured from the crash than she’s letting on, or it’s something more sinister, possibly linked to her cancer…

“God, I hope not though. This week has been brilliantly dramatic, but I really am ready for a slightly more cheerful interlude!” pleaded one viewer.

Another added: “If Liam is left with a brain injury as many are theorising, she could easily turn to painkillers to cope with the pain and the drama she’s going through. It’d be miserable to watch but it would actually fit the character and her storylines well.”

Chas told a concerned Charity she’d been given a once over and given some painkillers, but insisted there was nothing more to it. Chas was diagnosed with cancer last year, and fans will have to wait and see if the news is about to get worse for her.
