JoJo Siwa says Chris Hughes was ‘missing from her life’, brands him ‘a keeper’

JoJo Siwa has spoken out about her ‘soulmate’ Chris Hughes, saying she thinks of him as a ‘vital part of her life’ and that she wants him to stick around for a ‘long time’

JoJo Siwa has confessed she is “keeping” Chris Hughes around.

The 21 year old pop star came into the Big Brother house identifying with a partner, however after striking up a tight-knit friendship with Chris, she called it quits with Kath Ebbs after leaving the show.

JoJo and Chris got very chummy during their three-week stint, with plenty of cuddles, back tickles and deep chats. Fans were also convinced there was a secret signal between the two, a ‘double tap’ they believed meant ‘I love you’.

JoJo and Chris were even seen hitting the tennis courts last week and popping up on shows like This Morning. Despite insisting they’re in the friend zone, fans are convinced there’s more to it.

Chris, 32, recently bailed on Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating, reports the Mirror. A rep said: “Before entering Big Brother, Chris agreed to join the Celebs Go Dating agency and having his love life placed into the hands of the agents. However, after an incredible but very intense experience in Big Brother, he is taking some time to decompress.”

Speaking at a Stanford Speakers Bureau event, JoJo branded Chris an “absolute gem” and admitted he’s become “a vital part of her life she didn’t realise was missing”.

She said: “I’m happy that I don’t have to anymore. Genuinely something I love about him so much is that he has zero ego. He’s a really incredible, sweet man. So yeah, he is an awesome guy and I think he will be around for a very long time.”

JoJo continued: “Don’t let him see this. It will boost his ego!” She assured everyone she has no intention of hitting pause on their bond now they’re off-screen, calling Chris “a keeper”.

“We’ll keep him around, we’ll see.”

The duo appeared on This Morning recently and Chris said: “Our friendship is, it’s hard to explain. It’s just a really strong bond. A strong friendship. You can have a soul mate friendship. I think that’s a thing.”

JoJo said: “Look, he’s a great guy. It’s platonic. We have a lot of fun together. I don’t know the future, whatever life does, it will do.”
