A TikTok teasing that Celebrity Big Brother’s JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are like Rose and Jack from Titanic is doing the rounds – and JoJo’s mum is among those who have shared it
JoJo Siwa’s snuggly friendship with fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Chris Hughes has got everyone talking, and now her mum has weighed in.
The US singer and the Love Island star have formed a close bond in the ITV house and are never far apart, enjoying plenty of secret chats and sweet cuddles. And now JoJo’s mum Jessalynn Siwa has shared her thoughts by reposting a TikTok joking about JoJo and Chris being Rose and Jack from Titanic.
The clip shows the stars dancing and refers to their “love story”, and pokes fun at the situation with the sly suggestion that Chris is further down the society ladder than Dance Moms star JoJo.
In the TikTok, the CBB housemates are dancing and raise their hands over their heads in a pose similar to the famous one Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet) struck as they stood at the end of the boat in the 1997 film. “JoJo and Chris are so giving me Jack and Rose vibes,” read the caption.
“She’s the rich one who has fell in love with someone who is lower class than her and she has probably never had this much fun in her life. This is definitely the closest love story to Titanic yet.”
JoJo and Chris – who are both finalist in the ITV reality show – have grown closer and closer during the series and are often seen hanging out and cuddling. In the latest instalment, Chris even wore JoJo’s bikini bottoms on his head as he napped, and he was later seen fussing her and picking fluff off her face as they chatted in the bathroom.
Viewers were tickled by JoJo’s mum reposting the Titanic clip, with one posting on TikTok: “Jessalyn reposting this is wild!”
“WHY DID JOJO’S MUM REPOST THIS I’M CRYING,” said someone else.
Others said the friends were “soul mates”. “Why am I so invested in their relationship?” asked one. “I hope they get their own TV programme after this! Chris goes to America. JoJo goes to the British countryside. I would bingeeee watch that!”
The latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother also saw the housemates tearing up as they received their letters from home. JoJo was emotional on hearing from her mum and her other half Kath Ebbs.
However, while her loved ones made it clear how proud they were of her and how they couldn’t wait to see her, the star felt they should have said more. “I love you”, in particular.
“I will not let them live that down,” she joked in the Diary Room. “I’ll say, where was my ‘Hi sweetheart’, where was my ‘I love you’, where was my ‘I miss you.’
“Happy you are keen to see me when I get out of here, keen to see you as well, but come on, give me a little something something!” she laughed.
