JoJo Siwa’s mum Jessalynn appears to have supported a TikTok from a fan claiming that the US star dumped her partner Kath Ebbs because she wanted to find herself
JoJo Siwa’s mum appears to have hinted at the real reason behind her daughter’s split from Kath Ebbs – and it’s not Chris Hughes.
The US singer and dancer was loved-up with Kath before she went into the Celebrity Big Brother house, and was open with her fellow housemates about how smitten she was. But they broke up shortly after the end of the series, where she had formed a close bond with Love Island star Chris.
JoJo and Kath split during the show’s wrap bash, with Kath saying on social media that they were “dumped at the party” and felt “humiliated”. It sparked speculation about whether JoJo’s snuggly friendship with Chris was anything to do with it, although the pair have made it clear their relationship is strictly platonic.
JoJo’s mum Jessalynn has now apparently weighed in, by sharing a post from a fan who claimed JoJo split from Kath in a bid to find herself. Another fan shared a TikTok and wrote on Reddit: “Did you see JoJo’s mum reposted this?? Implying the break up wasn’t related to Chris but about JoJo finding herself.”
In the TikTok, the JoJo fan said that in her opinion JoJo and Kath’s break up was nothing to do with Chris. “I don’t think JoJo has split up with Kath because of Chris, OK?” she said.
She goes on: “JoJo has broken up with Kath because JoJo doesn’t know who she is.” “She is figuring out herself,” she said. “The Big Brother house was a very vital part of finding out who the true JoJo is.”
JoJo and Chris grew close during their three week stint in the fly-on-the-wall show, and were often seen enjoying secret chats and cuddling. They addressed their closeness on This Morning after Celebrity Big Brother wrapped, with Chris explaining it was a “soul mate friendship”.
Quizzed about it by hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, he replied: “Our friendship is, it’s hard to explain. It’s just a really strong bond between two people.
“A strong friendship. I think you can have a soul mate friendship. I think that’s a thing. To me it’s like that energy of where it’s not the standard friendship you have with your friends but it’s a still a friendship.”
Ben asked JoJo if she wanted anything more, but the Dance Moms star said: “Look, he’s a great guy. It’s platonic. We have a lot of fun together.
“Life is life. I don’t know any future of anything but I am really grateful for our dynamic that we have and the bond we have and whatever life does, life will do.”
JoJo also appeared to address her split from Kath during the interview. She told the presenters: “I knew as soon as I got out that I wanted to fix things in my life.”
