Kim Kardashian has testified in court against 10 men who are accused of robbing her at gunpoint.
The reality star and businesswoman was targeted while staying in a luxury suite in the French capital during Paris Fashion Week in 2016. Now, almost 10 years later, she is set to testify against 10 people who are accused of robbing her at gunpoint.
Of the 10 men, all apart from two have denied being involved, and initially 12 were accused. However in the nine years it’s taken to get to court, one defendant has died and another has been excused due to advanced dementia.
During the horror incident, mum-of-four Kim, 44, was robbed of millions of pounds worth of jewellery. A diamond engagement ring from then-husband Kanye West was among the items stolen, and the jewellery has never been recovered.

Kim spoke of the heist on Keeping Up With The Kardashians a year later.
She said in the episode: “I heard pounding up the stairs … I saw two guys holding another guy down in police uniforms right outside of my bedroom.”
The men allegedly used a receptionist to get to Kim’s room. Her security guard was with her sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian at the time.
Kim then explained that a man came in and threw her on the bed.

Earlier on Tuesday (May 13), Kim’s former stylist and friend Simone Harouche spoke of the ordeal, telling the court she heard screams of “terror” from Kim’s room. She said she could hear Kim pleading for her life.
Afterwards, she said Kim called her name, and she saw her hopping down the stairs with tape around her mouth, while wearing just a robe.
Simone said: “To see my friend with her feet taped and a very light robe with nothing under, and all messed up and pulled, I thought she could have been raped or very violated.”

Just before 1pm UK time, Kim started her testimony. Speaking of her love of Paris, according to the BBC she said: “I always felt really safe… I’d stop in little hotels for hot chocolate, it was magical.
“But when I came for Fashion Week during that trip, it changed everything.”
It’s reported that Kim’s voice was breaking as she spoke, and she could be seen fidgeting. She said she thought two people coming into her bedroom were “police officers”, though they had brought the hotel’s receptionist up in handcuffs, which confused her.

She recalled how she couldn’t understand if the receptionist – Abderrahmane Ouatiki – was a part of it, as he was calm during the ordeal.
However she said: “I understand now how shocked he was and he was just a victim like myself and we were in this together.”
She described how the men specifically asked her for the “ring” but she “didn’t get it was about my jewellery”, as there had been “a lot of terrorist attacks were going on in the world”.
Kim said that when she tried to grab her phone, one of the men, who she heard speaking French, snatched it from her and she “saw a gun”.
“They picked me up off the bed and grabbed me and took me down the hallway to look for more jewellery, more stuff,” she said, reportedly looking focused, while mum Kris clutched a tissue sitting on a bench in the court.

It’s then, she said, that her hands were bound with zip ties. She told the hotel worker to “translate to them that I have babies, I have to make it home”.
Wiping away tears, Kim said one of the robbers told her she would be OK. But one of the men pulled her towards him, exposing “everything on [her] body” as she had nothing on underneath a robe.
Kim said: “I’m certain that’s the moment he rapes me. I saw a prayer to mentally prepare myself.”
However, her legs were instead tied together and a gun held up to her. Kim said: “I absolutely did think I was gonna die.” She said she feared sister Kourtney, who was out, would return to the room and find her “shot dead on the bed” and “have that memory forever”.
After getting to her stylist, Kim said she called her mum Kris to tell her what had happened. She said she began thinking up a plan in case the men came back, however Kourtney and the security returned, shortly followed by the police.

She said she was “in a state of shock honestly – wondering who I can trust, what if one of them is dressed like police but is really in on it?”
Following the incident, Kim said she started getting a “phobia of going out” as she believed people would see her and then know her home was empty.
“So I can’t even sleep at night if I know there’s not multiple security guards,” she said.
Kim said it “changed everything” for the family, adding: “We never thought we were never not safe before this.”
