Kim Kardashian has paid tribute to the Kardashian-Jenner ‘glam family’ member Jesus Guerrero, who has tragically passed away at the age of 34, leaving the beauty community in mourning
Kim Kardashian has shared a heartfelt homage for the Kardashian-Jenner hairstylist who suddenly passed away.
The Los Angeles stylist Jesus Guerrero, at the young age of 34, had worked with megastars like Katy Perry, Kim herself, Jennifer Lopez, and Kylie Jenner. He had a particularly tight-knit rapport with Kylie, dubbing her his “main girly” just a month ago.
On Saturday, Jesus’ devastated sister, Gris, broke the news of his death and subsequently established a GoFundMe page as a tribute to him.
Jesus began his stint with the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner crew back in 2019 and quickly became a staple in Kylie’s entourage. Just last month, he was there with the beauty mogul at Paris Fashion Week, accompanying her as she walked for Jean Paul Gaultier as well as attending the Chanel show with Kylie, reports the Mirror.
In response to the loss of Jesus, Kim said: “Our glam fam means the world to us. We work together, vacation, and celebrate our lives together! Our great respect for the art of hair and makeup has led us to meeting some of the kindest souls and made some of our best friends.
“So when one of our glam family members passes away, all of our souls are crushed. My heart breaks for Kylie and everyone who loved Jesus the way we all did. I’m praying for his family, his loved ones, and the whole beauty community who feels this deep loss of one of the most talented and kindest to ever do it. Rest in Peace @jesushair.”
Announcing the tragic news of Jesus’ passing, his sister shared: “My name is Gris, Jesus’s younger sister. It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven. He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more.
“Born and raised in Houston, TX to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his skills to the top. Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly.
“Currently, his family is taking care of his personal belongings and accommodations to bring him home to Houston. We hope that you find it in your heart to help in any way and/or share this GoFundMe.”
Just a fortnight before his Paris trip, Jesus had styled Kylie for the Golden Globes, which she attended with her beau, Timothée Chalamet. He was also collaborating with Demi Moore for the current awards season.
On January 7, Kylie ‘liked’ a photo Jesus posted of her Golden Globes hairstyle, prompting one fan to rave: “You are KILLING it with her hair recently!!!”
Kylie light-heartedly bantered about a recent haircut from her mate, jesting on her socials: “@jesushair said he was giving me a trim and cut off all my hair.” Kylie hasn’t yet publicly spoken on the passing of her friend.
Her makeup artist Ariel Tejada, who often teamed up with Jesus, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, confessing to his fans the agony he’s gone through as he shared that it’s “the most painful, breath taking pain I have ever felt when I found out you left us.”
