Lorraine Kelly reports on a ‘true Scottish legend’ in most bizarre interview yet

Lorraine Kelly has been off screens while she recovers from surgery – but before that she met with the ‘Nessie Milker’ to find out more about the legendary monster.

Lorraine Kelly has taken on her strangest job yet ahead of returning to work after surgery – on board a bright orange ‘milk float’. She hopes to be back on screens from next week. The telly favourite met Angus McLean, the real-life ‘Nessie Milker’, who is embarking on a UK-wide milk-float tour.

He recently found viral fame after letting cameras peek behind-the-scenes of his ‘Nessie Nectar’ milking business on the shores of Loch Ness – ‘creating’ a quirky new flavour of beloved beverage, IRN-BRU. Now, McLean is setting off from Loch Ness to distribute the new limited-edition Nessie Nectar flavour, IRN-BRU XTRA, to enthusiasts around the country.

Chatting about her interview, Lorraine said: “Oh, what a treat it was to meet Angus as he sets off on his big UK tour. Hearing all about his time working with one of Scotland’s most famous legends was just magical.”

She added: “keep your eyes peeled for that fabulous Nessie float as it makes a splash across the UK – and don’t forget to sort out your delivery while Angus is on his rounds.”

Kelly, 65, had a significant operation on May 3, but has reassured her Instagram followers that she’s recovering well.

In an earlier social media update this week, she shared from her bed how her granddaughter Billie has been assisting her, calling it ‘the best medicine ever’.

Before her surgery, Lorraine jumped on the float brimming with crates of the striking new cans, which was decked out with two humps and a Nessie tail.

The new Legend Editions 330ml cans also boast a Unicorn Tears flavour, allegedly harvested from Unicorns themselves.

IRN-BRU, originally concocted from a secret recipe in Scotland back in 1901, has remained a national treasure ever since.

Kenny Nicholson, head of brand at IRN-BRU, said: “McLean & Sons have been tugging on Nessie’s teat for centuries so it’s finally time to share her juicy nectar with the rest of the UK.
