Love Island hunk refuses to cross major boundary before fight with Jordan Banjo

EXCLUSIVE: Love Island’s Wil Anderson is going head-to-head with Diversity icon Jordan Banjo in the ring, but the dating show star has revealed the one thing he would never do while fighting

Love Island’s Wil Anderson has revealed the one thing he won’t do in the ring.

The 24-year-old reality TV star is going up against Jordan Banjo on 16 May and spoke exclusively to Daily Star about his boxing career and where he draws the line while fighting.

He told us: “I think fighting the older guys, I don’t rate it to be honest. Us younger men are physically more dangerous than these older guys and can take more punches, for me I wouldn’t feel comfortable punching a 60-year-old man in the head.”

As for his head-to-head with Jordan, 32, Wil gave some fighting talk: “On paper people might think that Jordan has an advantage but once the fight is done, everyone will see that I am levels above Jordan and they’ll put me in the same category as the best fighters.”

“I’m not a heavyweight, I’m a cruiserweight so depending on how this fight goes you could see me calling out some of the bigger names.”

Anderson admitted that he watched Banjo when he was on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2009, a full circle moment for both reality TV stars.

He said: “Do you know what? I did watch them, yeah! I didn’t know who he was individually at the time, I must have been 12 years old? They’re a household name [Diversity].”

“It is weird, to be honest I don’t necessarily think about it too much. It is more about the job, make sure that’s done. It’s just about the person in front of me.”

Wil promised he will “knock him out” and is hoping the blow will come during the “first or second round”. Anderson said: “If it’s the third or fourth I’ll take it, but I’m hoping for the first or second!”

“Ooh, last words for Jordan? Honestly, I’ve got so much respect for Jordan and we were friends before this, but I will win and it will be by a devastating knockout.”
