Love Island’s Jess White sustained a rather gruesome injury during her time on the show.

ITV’s Jess sat down with Daily Star in collaboration with Casino.org as she discussed her time on the show after appearing on it last year. When talking about villa safety, she revealed despite ITV having all things in check, she still managed to sustain an injury.

Jess explained: “I’m so clumsy as well, so I tripped over Nicole [Samuel] one time and nearly lost my toenail, and a medic was there within less than two minutes. Considering the site is so big, someone will be with you so fast.”

She then continued to highlight how prepared ITV is in regards to Islanders’ physical and mental wellbeing.

Jess added: “Basically, there is a producer who is always sat outside the villa, so you can always see them or you can go to the Beach Hut and have a chat with them there. You can even just say into your mic, ‘I need to chat to someone’, and they’ll come out and check on you. There’s a whole welfare team on site too, so you feel really safe, and they come so quickly.

“There’s also security on site, and honestly, I made such good friends with all the staff and production team while I was in there, especially because there was no one in there that I fancied, half the time I was just sat talking to them instead of the boys.

“They were like ‘Jess, as lovely as this is, you’re here to find love, not to chat to all of us’.”

Jess also revealed who she is still in touch with from her season – after she infamously came to blows with a fair few contestants during her ITV stint.

She revealed: “It’s harder because I’m from the North, and obviously, in my year, there weren’t many northerners. They all live down south, but if I’m ever in London, I’ll go and see them and we’ll chat all the time. Mainly with Matilda, Nicole, Samantha and Patsy. But I do see the rest at the events, and it’s always nice to have a catch-up.”

But would Jess be up for returning to this series as a bombshell? Jess answered: “It’s a tricky one. I know they’ve done it before with Kady [McDermott] going in, but when you’ve had that platform before, to then go in there again, it would feel uncomfortable. Mainly because it would be my second time doing it with a group who are experiencing it for the first time.

“I’d know what to expect. So, I think for me, going in as a bombshell in a normal cast series wouldn’t work. I think I’d be thinking about the perspective that it would give on the outside, too. I think All Stars is different, as you’d be all in the same boat. But who knows! Never say never, but on this current series, probably not for me right now.”
