Sean “Diddy” Combs once overdosed on opioids following one of his ‘Freak Off’ sex parties, his former girlfriend told a court.

Cassie Ventura detailed to jurors how the hip-hop mogul abused drugs around the time Whitney Houston died, leaving him needing hospital attention.

Her testimony is part of the federal government’s sweeping case against Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to five felony charges: one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

If convicted, the I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker faces life in prison.

Under cross-examination by Combs’ defence attorney, Ventura recounted a night in February 2012 when he required emergency medical treatment after taking what she described as “a really strong opioid.”

“That evening, we had a ‘freak-off,’” Ventura said, referring to group sex parties she claims Combs frequently orchestrated. “We went to a sex club in San Bernardino. And then he had a party at the Playboy Mansion that night, and I went home.”

She said they rushed Combs to the hospital that night. “We didn’t know what happened,” Ventura said. “From what he told me, he took a really strong opioid.”

“Was that around the time Whitney Houston died? she was asked. “I believe so,” Ventura replied. Diddy’s defence attorney Anna Estevao pressed Ventura on their mutual drug use.

“During the entire duration of your relationship, you two were addicted to painkillers?” she asked. “Very much so,” Ventura, 38, responded.

At one point during yesterday’s (Thurs) questioning, Estevao asked Ventura if she and Combs ever referred to themselves as “get high partners.”

“Yes,” Ventura said. The attorney’s questioning was designed to undermine accusations that Combs drugged women with baby oil allegedly laced with a date rape drug.

Ventura testified that she purchased Johnson & Johnson baby oil for their sex parties and “the only thing [she] did to it was heat it up.”

“Yes,” Ventura said when asked if she personally picked up the oil from a chemist and if she ever altered it in any way beyond warming it.

In a separate line of questioning, Ventura said Combs grew paranoid and jealous, once accusing her of being romantically involved with actor Michael B. Jordan.

“Combs suspected you were in a relationship with someone else. Who was that?” Estevao asked. “Michael B. Jordan,” Ventura said.

She also confirmed a brief affair with rapper Kid Cudi, which she admitted was, in part, retaliation for Combs’ own infidelities.

The trial continues.
