P Diddy’s trial is still underway and Cassie has once again taken to the stand.
Cassie Ventura, Sean Combs’ ex-girlfriend who is currently pregnant with husband Alex Fine, has spoken to the court about her former partner and the Freak Off sessions they used to partake in.
On day four the court heard Cassie address allegations that Combs laced baby oil with a date rape drug and used it during Freak Off sessions, spoke about Combs’ concerns for her amid her drug use and discussed a 2016 incident involving Cassie’s friend at her apartment.
As Daily Star’s coverage of the P DIddy trial continues, here are the five key points that were addressed during the fourth day (May 15).
Baby Oil Denial
Cassie denied that there were ever any drugs mixed into the baby oil that was used in the Freak Off sessions with Combs.
A claim was originally made in a 2023 lawsuit that accused the rapper of adding GHB, also known as a “date rape drug”, in the lubricant.
However, Cassie has claimed that this never happened.
Diddy’s “Overdose”
Cassie claimed that Combs once overdosed on opioid painkillers while he was at the Playboy Mansion back in 2012.
This incident was reported on by the media and TMZ gave an “extreme migraine” as the reason he was hospitalised.
The singer also claimed that Combs previously urged her to seek medical help after noticing that she was having negative effects from drug use, and said that he was worried about her mental health.
Cassie also claimed that he told Los Angeles drug dealers to stop selling to her.
Drug Issues
The court heard that Combs wanted Cassie to reduce the amount of drugs she used in summer 2016.
Cassie described Combs as “explosive” when he learned that she had previously taken drugs with other people without informing him.
Anna Estevao asked whether the pair ever spoke about getting clean, but Cassie responded “rehab wasn’t really a thing”.
She also said that they had “experimented with different drugs” throughout their time together.
Balcony Incident
Cassie’s friend, fashion designer Bryana Bongolan, filed a lawsuit against Combs back in November 2023 and alleged that he held Bryana over the railing of a 17th floor balcony at Cassie’s apartment in 2016.
Defence lawyer Anna Estevao implied that Cassie “learned about this incident on the balcony after the fact,” suggesting that Cassie didn’t witness what happened.
She simply replied: “I saw what I saw.”
Famous Faces
Cassie previously told the court that Combs was with Kim Porter, the mother of four of his children, when they first met.
The singer admitted: “I had some jealousy of Ms Porter.”
The court heard that Cassie and Scott Mescudi, stage name Kid Cudi, dated briefly during a rough moment in her relationship with Combs who learned about their involvement in December 2011.
Cassie said that she and Combs were “on a break” and had a “burner phone” to speak with Cudi. She told the court: “I did not want him to find out. I thought it would be way too dangerous if he found out.”
Estevao asked whether it was because Combs “would be insanely jealous,” to which Cassie simply replied: “Yes.” Estevao also suggested that Combs once suspected that Cassie was involved with actor Michael B Jordan.
Cassie was asked about Combs’ reaction to the news but said: “I wasn’t there to see.”
