Remember Monday scored 88 points from the jury during the Eurovision final, but gutted singer Holly-Anne Hull has revealed that her engagement ring is still missing
A Remember Monday star lost her wedding ring and engagement ring.
The country-pop trio finished 19th in the Eurovision final on Saturday night (May 17) – winning 88 points from the jury but getting no points from the public. It wasn’t their night at the competition in Basel, Switzerland but the girls brushed off the result and partied until 3am.
However, band member Holly-Anne Hull revealed that she had lost her wedding ring and engagement ring – luckily her wedding ring has now been found but sadly, the engagement ring is still missing. The singer posted a clip on Instagram on Sunday (May 18), where the girls were seen sitting on a plane leaving Basel.
In the clip, she said: “I’ve lost my wedding ring and my engagement ring,” adding: “I’m gonna have a breakdown ’cause I’ve lost my wedding ring.”
She didn’t reveal any further details about the lost rings at this point but the group remained in high spirits, telling fans they were still wearing “last night’s hair gel” and that their knees hurt. They nodded to the meaning of their Eurovision entry song – What The Hell Just Happened? – which tells the story of a morning after a night of partying.
Singer Lauren told fans they were “so grateful” for all the support they’ve received and Charlotte Steele said their fans were “amazing”.
During the final, former West End star Hull had taken off her jewellery before taking to the stage to perform the group’s song. It’s said she discovered her ring and several other pieces of jewellery were missing.
It’s claimed the star feared her ring had been stolen after realising it had vanished. A Eurovision source told The Sun: “A few items were missing and no one seemed to know where they went. It was obviously very upsetting.”
It was reported that all the jewellery was later found after what appeared to be an “innocent mix-up”. Hull herself has since shared an update and confirmed that her wedding ring has been found – but revealed she still doesn’t know where her engagement ring is.
She spoke about her ring nightmare during a chat on Capital FM on Monday (May 19). Host Chris Stark asked the singer: “Did I read you lost your wedding ring?”
Holly replied: “Yep. It’s my engagement ring. I found my wedding ring but my engagement ring is gone. I honestly don’t know where it is. I am so upset about it.”
The star said she reckons she’s lost the pricey ring, adding: “It’s something silly, like it’s in the hotel room. It’s not like I went on a wild night out and lost it. It’s like I’ve misplaced it because I’m so silly and my brain was scattered all over the place.”
Host Sian Welby asked: “Are you still in the hotel now, or are you home?”. Holly replied: “I’m in my house. I’ve had to say goodbye to her.”
Holly, who married her husband Craig in 2023, got about one hour of sleep before flying home to the UK with her bandmates. Charlotte said: “I can’t explain how amazing the whole thing [Eurovision] has been. It has been more than we could have ever wished for.
“We are so proud of what we did and just the whole build up was just so fantastic. We had about an hour’s sleep before our flight home yesterday. We had so much fun!”
