Nicola Peltz’s beef with the Beckham clan is reportedly “beyond repair”.
The actress and her hubby, Brooklyn Beckham, gave David Beckham’s glitzy 50th birthday bash a miss this weekend. Brooklyn, the firstborn of David and Victoria Beckham, was also MIA from the pre-party festivities leading up to Sunday’s big do.
Insiders say Brooklyn’s no-show was a “real blow” for the ex-Manchester United icon. On Saturday, the Beckhams and their celeb mates hit up the posh Core restaurant in Notting Hill, London, where middle son Romeo gave a toast in honour of his old man.
The family drama between the Peltz-Beckhams and the Beckhams has reportedly “escalated” in recent times.
Sources now reckon the split is “beyond repair”. Insiders allege that while David and Victoria were aware Brooklyn and his missus planned to rock up at tonight’s Met Gala in New York, they’re “hurt” he skipped out on family gatherings – even though he was in London.
“They failed to turn up at any family events and yet they will go to a place where they will barely know anyone,” a source spilled to the Daily Mail. The source added: “Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now.”, reports the Mirror.
The source further alleged that Nicola is the root cause of the feud, accusing her of “finding a way to start an argument” between Brooklyn and his famous family. They suggested that while Brooklyn had plans to join the birthday festivities, his wife would “kick something off”, making it “impossible” for him to be present.
“Brooklyn doesn’t feel he can turn up to see his family – but it happened three times in a week,” they claimed. Meanwhile, insiders suggest that Brooklyn isn’t communicating with his “family, or old friends,” drawing parallels to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s strained relationships back in the UK.
Over the weekend, Brooklyn and Nicola posted pictures of themselves in their luxurious London hotel and even enjoyed a meal at a restaurant with a friend. A source close to the family told the Mirror: “Brooklyn not turning up was a real blow to David.
“Brooklyn was close with his dad growing up, but he is married now. His wife Nicola is older and confident in her own right, and so there is distance between Brooklyn and his parents.
“It has become a problem and not something they can keep private because of the way the family uses social media. Things have escalated in recent months, and there is a very obvious rift that David and Victoria would love to heal. This weekend, Victoria took to social media to praise her children who attended the glitzy event.”
Victoria Beckham shared a heartfelt message alongside a snap with her kids Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, leaving out eldest son Brooklyn. The fashion icon and former pop star gushed: “Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all.”
There was no mention of Brooklyn in the post.
But it’s not just David Beckham’s 50th birthday that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz failed to publicly acknowledge.
The couple also skipped Victoria’s birthday bash in April and didn’t send a Mother’s Day shout-out in March. Rumours are swirling about a possible fall-out linked to Nicola’s relationship with the Beckham clan, yet Brooklyn himself hasn’t posted anything on his social media about his father’s big 5-0.
The Peltz-Beckham duo were notably absent from the family festivities in France last Friday and didn’t show up for the grand celebration at the Beckhams’ swanky £10million Cotswolds estate on Wednesday either.
