Weirdest celebrity ‘infused’ gifts – Sydney Sweeney ‘bathwater’ and Kim K nipples bra

Sydney Sweeney has launched her own bathwater soap, which quickly broke the internet on its announcement. But, she’s not the only celeb to shock with her product launch

Sydney Sweeney sent the internet into a spiral over the last week for launching her own soap – that apparently contains her bathwater.

And while many people have been left grossed out by Hollywood’s latest bombshell, 27, infusing her grimy tub juices into the toiletry, others have praised the outlandish move.

But, it’s not the first time an A-list celebrity has launched a product that would make the prudes amongst us suffer from some eye-watering shock.

Gwyneth Paltrow pioneered the body ‘blended’ product with her Goop brand, launching the now infamous candle that smells like her *checks notes* vagina.

Oh, and Kim Kardashian recently created something that raised a few conservative eyebrows.

So, let’s have a look at some of the celebs who have incorporated body parts into products – quite literally in some cases.

Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater

Sydney Sweeney shot to fame on teen drama Euphoria and has since established herself as one of Hollywood’s hottest assets, much thanks to her own, alongside her top notch acting skills.

Despite addressing concerns about how she has ‘no control’ over being ‘sexualised’, Sydney seems to have taken the plunge into all things sexy – quite literally.

The actress became the “Body Wash Genie” for American soap brand Dr Squatch back in October 2024. At the time, many men lapped up the collaboration that featured a very glamorous and scantily-clad Sweeney.

Now, they’ve taken it to the next level by creating the Bathwater Bliss. The brand has made 5,000 bars of soap with a certificate that proves her used bathwater was used to make them.

Sweeney said: “When fans start asking for your bathwater, either ignore it or turn it into a soap. It’s weird in the best way.” The product is described as “the ultimate blend of outdoor serenity with refreshing notes of pine, douglas fir, earthy moss, and a touch of Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss”.

In the advert, that has now gone viral, the stunner sat in a bubble bath and teased: “Hello you dirty little boys, are you interested in my body…wash?”

“Well you can’t have it, because this isn’t for boys. It’s for men. This is Dr. Squatch Natural Body Wash with long lasting, natural aromas like wood barrel bourbon, pine tar, coconut castaway, and fresh falls.”

Fans couldn’t quite believe the product launch, with many thinking it was either a joke or AI. But, Sweeney posted the limited edition ‘men’s natural soap’ to her 2.3million Instagram followers with the release date to be the 6 June.

One fan said: “No way this is a real thing.” Another quipped: “Well that just set women back another 50 years.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina candle

But, before the world was introduced to Sydney Sweeney and her personalised soap, we were all shocked by Gwyneth Paltrow’s eccentric entrepreneurship.

The actress, 52, first started her brand ‘Goop’ as a newsletter in 2008. It quickly grew a cult following where it transcended into a wellness and lifestyle brand – which was never too far away from controversy thanks to vaginal steaming and jade eggs…

However, it wasn’t until 2020 when Goop landed in all the headlines thanks to one very obscure product. Paltrow launched the ‘This Smells Like My Vagina’ candle. Yes, that’s right. But, unlike Sweeney, Paltrow hasn’t infused herself with a product.

And if you’re wondering what Paltrow’s nether regions smell like, then apparently ‘notes of geranium, citrusy bergamot, cedar and Damask rose’.

The Goop website describes the scent as “funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected.” It was launched in collaboration with brand Heretic, founded by Douglas Little.

Although it’s been five years, the shock of the Goop candle still lives on. Speaking this year at the Mindvalley Manifesting Summit in Los Angeles, Paltrow said: “That product is so fascinating because we were messing around with different scents one day.

“I smelled something and I was like, ‘Oh, that smells like — you know.'” Providing insight into how the product was created, Paltrow added that she was only joking at the time. Her perfumer partner Little then suggested selling the “vagina” scent, she thought he was also having a laugh – though that wasn’t the case.

Paltrow added: “All of a sudden, it was literally on the website, and then we broke the internet again. It took us a long time to live that one down.”

Well, it’s original for sure!

It looks like the candle is no longer stocked on the Goop website, but they have a similar product dubbed ‘Hands Off My Vagina’ selling for $75 (£55).

The candle isn’t just in the name of sarcasm and smut, but $25 (£18) from each sale will be donated to American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (ACLU Foundation) “to aid its fight to protect the rights and basic freedoms that are under attack in America,” the website states.

The description of the product added that the candle was formed after the overturning of Roe v Wade, which rescinded abortion rights in the US.

Kim Kardashian’s nipple piercing bra

It wouldn’t be a celebrity product round-up without Kim Kardashian, the owner of lingerie and shape-wear brand SKIMS. While the head of the Kardashian clan, bar Kris Jenner, hasn’t infused herself into any of the products, she sure knows how to get heads turning with them.

In 2023, the reality star turned business mogul launched the ‘nipple bra’ – which is essentially a plain bra with little bump to mimic a nipple.

This means women can wear the lingerie without making it look like they have anything underneath. The product was praised both from a stylistic point of view and a functional one too, especially for those who have been through a mastectomy.

However, others felt that the nipple bra was a ‘step too far’. So we wonder what the critics think now as Kim and her SKIMS brand have recently launched a nipple piercing bra…

Dubbed as the ‘boldest’ product from the brand as of yet, the ‘Ultimate Pierced Nipple Push-Up Bra’ is designed to purposely “be seen”.

The new bra, costing £64, features removable nipple piercings, coated in nylon. That means you can get the appearance of the intimate metal, without having to experience the pain of it.

Some people on social praised the ‘hack’ of the bra, but others felt that the brassiere didn’t have much ‘point’.

One X user joked: “Everyone is noncommittal these days. Just get your nipples pierced like I did at 19 to spite my mother.”

And another added: “What the helly is the point.”

In the lead up to the launch, Kim Kardashian was baffling fans after strutting around wearing the nipple piercing bra. It looks like she might be setting the new trend for the summer…
